Not to offend you youngsters out there, because I'm 29 myself, but what's wrong with feeling like 60? I know, when I'm 60, I'll take that back, but really, most people at my place of work are so immature, I'd like to think I'm as mature as I feel. So what, I've always been a cynical old bastard, probably since my early teens. Doesn't keep me from doing anything I like so I don't think change is in the near future. Oh, and one last piece of tinder into the fire: Aren't we supposed to revere the old? Shouldn't we aim to be older, more experienced, wiser? If anything I would lie up on my age. And before you ask, yes , I admit, I'm happily married, so I don't pretend to appear younger than I am. No point in keeping my age from my wife. Or anything else, for that matter Oh, and I almost forgot to say it (must be my age): Get off my lawn! |

Thanks for your comments gmvasco. Seems like one could use the attribute you mentioned as a barometer of a culture's health: how do the people in that culture regard and treat their elders? Maybe resesearch been already been done on the question?

Nah, don't worry, when I got it I amost screamed it everywhere. It's a (too) small blossoming cherry tree branch on the shoulder-neck.

I wasn't sure if I was supposed to mark what I thought the average MR age range is or if I was supposed to mark for my own. (I picked my own. ) Thank goodness for the ranges -- I only know that I'm 30+ something or other without taking the time to do the math. |
