Why oh why oh why did I buy a bag of pork scratchings and a bag of scampi and lemon crisps in the pub? These are two seperate flavours that do not mix with lager....ewwww

whaat the heck are pork scrapings? sounds like part of the offal after a pig slaughter!

I'm not sure, but I think it's some kind of pork crackling made as crisps. At least we have that here in Denmark.

It's 'scratchings', not 'scrapings'! although I'm not sure that makes it sound any more appetising.

You know sometimes when an animal scratches you see bits of flaky skin etc fly off? That's what I used to think pork scratchings were...

A few years back, I made the mistake of eating a bag of them and then get ill shortly after (not related). Since then I can't eat them without getting a distant taste of vomit in my mouth.

Pork scratchings are a crisp-like substance that are so salty they make your eyes water. They are most often eaten when in a pub and after a few drinks, at all other times only the mad would dare eat them.

I believe that it is actually illegal to eat a pork scratching without a beer in your other hand

oh yeah, we have them as pork rinds. depending what part of the country you are in, you can get them VERY (take the top of your head off) spicy!

I hope things get better for you, Mindy. This gibbon's long arms would wrap their hugs around you eleventy times for reassurance (purely with your permission, of course, and with the understanding not to get "grabby") if it helped.

I'll join you on the head hurting an crap feet part... Did you also notice that comfortable shoes only last half as long?

I am really in need of hot weather right now, could have used that last week. I think I got a major cold yesterday. Must have been the combination bike+rain+wind (for 5 days...)
