Nope. qwertyphobia is français. The official english translation ia azertyphilia.

Now for a rant.

What damnable fool told Friday it could have the day off, because Monday would happily cover for it?

I am unemployed (practically). Redeployed. Jobless.
I have no reader.
My head hurts all the time (possibly even while I'm asleep - it's certainly sore whenever I wake up).
My medication is giving me all the side effects and none of the benefits.
We were too late to get Alexander McCall Smith tickets for the festival (although we did get Neil Gaiman tickets, so that's only half a vent/rant).
My 'colleagues' (who all got jobs) seem to have forgotten about all the little chats around 'sensitivity' and/or have developed the notion that joblessness is contagious.
Having crap feet sucks when it comes to having to buy shoes, and comfortable shoes only last so long.

On the plus side, I seem to have more time to dedicate to MRF now....

I am sorry to here this. I, too, have been unemployed for over a year. I am going to get admitted to a local Community College today to retread back as a client/server programmer. My best wishes....RSE

Mindy, I do hope that things pick up soon and that your health and employment problems all get solved satisfactorily. These things just should not happen to a fairy!

I left my Kindle at work last night and was reduced to reading a pbook in bed Kindle Kitten was NOT amused, and it is amazingly difficult to juggle kittens and pbooks after being assimilated by the Kindle!

And bad feet, too. That really must be the last straw. Can you ask your GP for a referral to a decent podiatrist? Or even see one privately if the NHS list is too long?

(Parenthetically, I've had a great deal of trouble with my feet and it mostly vanished when I started wearing crocs. It is a pity that they are so ugly. But now I can walk for miles. Ricky also swears by hers.)

Do you know what is causing the horrible headaches?

I liked Crocs up until I went walking over a field that had quite a few low-growing brambles in it and came out with thorns in my feet, after they'd gone through the plastic

My feet are genetically bad, there's nothing they can do! It's funny you should say that though, I got two pairs of Crocs from Shuch at the weekend, a plain-ish black pair, kind of flat dolly-shoe style (Alice) (not the clog style) for work and a funky purple slingback style (Olivia) which I couldn't resist because they had a sparkly crystal on them. I'm a sucker, I know. I'm still wearing them round the house to decide whether I'll be able to wear them properly yet.

Nope, after extensive testing and trying various types of medication we've come to the conclusion I'm just lucky. We found something that seemed to be working but after about 3 months I built up a resistance (we assume - for whatever reason the headaches came back)

Thanks for all the sympathy guys, I will indeed console myself with the Llounge.

Yeah, we have very long mesquite thorns here, and you will hear me yelping when I step on one long enough to pierce the rubber of my Crocs.

However, it's another handy dandy use for a pair of hemostats, which of course, I always have handy.
