You know I thought the same thing at first but then after we had discussed it it changed everything. Now I'm not really sure what she said about that thing that we had discussed when that other thing had happened that day before the other major thing had happened. My nephew just walked past wearing a T Shirt with the slogan "You Want Me - You Just Don't Know It Yet".

Now I thought I should look for one that says "You Don't Want Me - and are probably fully aware of the fact too"

Tarnover huh? Boy that got the old gray cells smoking. After 10-15 minutes of uh humming and ah nopes I finally gave in to the google. Of course <multiple head slaps> One of those books that really sticks in your mind even after, what, 20-30 years? So I read the synopsis and, wait a second, I've seen this concept just recently (or more recently than 20-30 years).

Ghost in the Shell, one of them anyway. So after watching parts of GITS SAC 2nd GIG and GITS 2; Innocence I started watching GITS. Gads I'd forgotten how truely good that film was! About half way through it dawned on me. Of course it was the Laughing Man complex from GITS Stand Alone Complex, I think.

I suspect that it wasn't plagiarism so much as arriving at the same conclusions from a similar set of starting principles. As I remember Dark Angel had somewhat similar concepts as well.

I mentioned the book to my sister who shares a congruent set of reading interests with me and she recognized it right away although it had been years for her too.

Anyway, thanks for the mind trip!
