Fourth of July Plans? - Page 6

Kind of hard for me to answer this question. I'm going to a friends house for a bbq that day, but at night we stay home and watch fireworks from my apartment window. I'm high up and can see them really well.

And, there's a serious burn ban going on here, so no fireworks are being allowed anywhere in Llano County. More than likely, I will curl up with a good book that day. I'm convinced that's why my dogs just don't care about lightning and thunder. They just think it's fireworks, and what's the big deal? We can have a massive storm, and they just lie there in their kennel sound asleep.

I will probably spend the afternoon watering the yard real good, so some idiot doesn't set off some fireworks that land in my yard and burn my house down. They are illegal here, but nobody seems to notice that.

In So. Cal., we used to actually water our roofs, also.

Just went and got a bunch of fireworks (for the benefit of the grandchildren, of course) and will shoot them off in the drive. Since I live in pretty much the geographic center of La Crosse, I looked longingly at the mortar shells and big ass boomers, but had to pass. It will be a fountain show only...

Wifey and I are getting out of town this fourth. (The absolute LAST thing we'd wanna do would be to go to downtown DC to see the fireworks, when the Metro subway is as jacked up as it is right now!) But since we're going to be enjoying some oceanfront time, we won't be too concerned about whether we see fireworks or not.
