what I would REALLY like is more BBC programming like that instead of all the damn reality shows. 5 years ago the BBC here was almost all entertainment type of shows, ranging from mysteries, to comedies to the odd sci-fi installment. now it's women cutting off their breasts, kitchens being run by tyrants, people invading one anothers homes and taking on ill advised DIY projects and so on. I want the old BBC back!!!

I personally am not into the whole "rollable" thing, but I'll go along with that, anyway.

Well, for full disclosure, I would much rather read than watch television. But, honestly, Reality tv. Really? Really? Way over due, a way too store (and use) all of the various cords for my electronic devices that doesn't look like the inside of a 1980's Cray supercomputer. | ||

At home, I have a 32-inch flat screen CRT tv, a 5-disc DVD player, and no cable, not local channels. The only thing I watch are dvds. I have not watched regular programming for a few years now. I never even KNEW House existed until season 3. I don't watch any 'reality' shows. Half of the shows mentioned so far I've never heard of. I either watch DVDs, or watch episodes of shows that I've torrented. I've just started Arrested Development Season 3. I've finished House Season 5. I'm glad that I dont have to rely on being in my chair when the TV station dictates. I might not see an episode at the same time as everyone else, but I'll watch it what I want to. I'm trying to convince my mother to give up the Dish Network. I want to get her an ereader so she'll start reading more. She barely has time for anything else apart form her reality shows and her CSI. I rarely visit anymore because I have to fight for attention with TV, even though she could tivo it. I house-sitted for her one week, and I thought, cool, i'll spend a week and watch some Texas Holdem on ESPM or Travel Channel. Both TVs were set to record her shows so I had to either watch CSI or Biggest Loser or something similar. YUCK |

I have DISH, but record everything so I can watch what I want when I want, but for the record, no reality shows. unless you count the occasional episode of "it's me or the dog"
