You thought I just shucked it off. I did not. I am using it!!

Another possible spot for it is on the warm up page for EVERY Pocket PRO!! That would be a great help to us.
Wow, that would be great!

Dear Griffonwing and ahammer:

The User Manual is on the device. We never thought to put the FAQ sheet thwere as it changes somewhat often. As Dale DePriest and others bring up new info (such as an 8GB card will work on the EZ Reader) I am trying to add these tips to the FAQ Sheet.

Griffonwing in suit and tie would be too much to bear. And what about the parrot. Does he get an Armani suit also?

This much I know, Mr. Griffonwing, you are very smart and very talented. No joke.

The user manual is a PDF file and can easily be available on the site as well I would hope. I generally download one when available before making a purchase to check out the data. I have downloaded the one on the Jinke site which is similar to the Astak one although slightly different.

The site copy should also be easy to update and to provide as a download whenever the firmware changes. So much of the time the manual is just an after thought. It needs version data to match the firmware it was written for. Yes, I am a technical manual writer.

Thank you for the help on the website!

Dear All:

The insight we received on the website was great. There were several things we had missed and a few larger things we need to rethink and change.

Friday we will hold a meeting at Astak to discuss all comments in group.

ALL comments were copied and mailed to the website designers as well.

I sincerely thank all the many who participated!!

Ereader Support

I went to Ereader.com and clicked on HELPand then selected hardware and software requirements and received information on the EZ-Reader and goEZebook.com. Granted I also received messages that Frequently Asked Questions are being edited.

I hope this means that support for Ereader is rapidly approaching (see below - it looks like the FAQ's from goEZebook.com)…

The Fictionwise eReader SDK in Linux for both Mentor and EZ Reader is VERY close. Fictionwise tells me about 4 weeks or less to get the final SDK out. Then it has to be ported to the devices... but all the elementary porting work is done.

I took your post and sent it to Fictionwise to get feedback.

Update on EZ Reader Pocket PRO

Dear ALL:

I do not want to jump the gun and say all is worked out... but we are seeing some hurdles cleared and feeling VERY enthusiastic and optimistic aboutthe EZ Reader.

I THINK Jinke has peeked on MobileRead forum and seen the wild enthusiasm.

The latest word is we should have two each of the four colors (plus black and white) done in our PMS colors by next week. We will then see how our colors look on the actual plastic halves for the Pocket PRO and can fine tune at that time if we need to do so.

The schedule is that we should receive the actual release and shipment no later than August 15. As soon as they arrive they will be up on the website and selling.

Yes, I am planning a pre-order sheet on our website. Not sure how to do that yet but cannot be that hard. Maybe another 2-3 weeks.

I hope by next week I can start on the User Manual and the FAQ sheet to put them into English.

Yes, I am beginning to feel a lot better about this. I do not want to jump up in the air yet... but it may not be much longer and I will.

Robertb,

Make sure your first shipment has a sufficient supply of slate blue!

Supply of Slate Blue!!

Dear Musicman:

My understanding is that they are doing 500 of each color.

YES, I know that Griffonwing will likely order all the Slate Blue and then sell them at a higher price... that is why he is a pirate.

Seriously, if we sell 500 Slate Blue in three months I would be ecstatic and paint myself slate blue with happiness. I know that about 30-40 people so far have expressed a desire for Slate Blue Pocket PROs but that still leaves a hell of a lot!

I would be SO happy to sell a total of 200 (all the colors combined) in the first month. We are praying that enough MobileRead Forum people will buy, love it, and tell others they know about it. Yes, I am praying to God that we do some advertising this time. I have got to get the word out. The product is an incredible bargain but if nobody knows I have hell to pay.

All the excitement is wonderful... but soon I have to move them.
