Hi Robert,

I saw where you addressed a little bit how the devices would be featured, but I did not have the time to go through it as thoroughly as I would like. Instead here is what I started thinking about when I first went through the site and made a few notes. It is late and I must go to bed now so there isn't time to write a better version, so please be patient with my jumbled thoughts and the things you already addressed.

The item I had hoped to see on this site is a menu or area that is devoted strictly to the reading devices and their needs. Right it looks like the bookstore part is 95% (at least) of what is offered and the device gets maybe 5% and seems like an afterthought. For Books on Board now selling the Sony devices it is certainly isn't their own product that is fine, but they do give a nice menu labeled "Gifts & Readers" that lists the options when you scroll over it. I would think Astak and the goEZebook site could do a much better job of promoting their offered device(s) and showing them to best advantage since there is much more pride and ownership of them. Maybe show each device and give a little blurb about it's best qualities with links for specific FAQ, pictures, and specs? It might be a good place to post firmware updates that are easy to locate. And on the FAQ maybe divide it into sections so the "uh oh, how do I fix this?" items are together and the "can it do/play/display XYZ" in another so the flow makes a little more sense? Right now it seems like that is how the questions came up, but could be more organized now that the list has been around for a while and the writer has hopefully had a chance to catch up a little. They are well written and comprehensible, which is very nice to see. Having all those links on the main screen makes them almost seem less important because they don't get their own place that is just about them and every thing under the sun about them. When too much gets on the main page it gets too busy/overwhelming and this deserves its own area. Especially as it grows.

Right now there is the kind of hazy picture and links for the EZ Reader, but it would be nice to see some up close and sharp pictures of the buttons and different views of the device. Maybe a close-up of the front of the case? I can see something is embossed or printed there, but not what it says - and how the case and fit reader fit together. As we often ask for more pictures on the thread, this would be a great place for them. Right now it reminds of the Mobiebook site when it first launched - very bare bones for the device part.

I also did not like the many different colors used in the site (green, blue, brown, red, yellow, etc.). You should probably look for a more uniform color palette.

Oh, and a noticed that some pictures have the EZ reader with a new logo! I like it much better than the old one. You have to look for all pictures of the reader and present then with the new logo (there are some with the old one). Do you know if the fry's unit on sale will have the new logo ?

Dear Paulo:

The logo was changed in time for the shipment of 3 months ago. Ths is a hard question, Paulo, as some FRY's stores MIGHT still have some in stock from an earlier shipment... but I doubt it. I would think the chance of getting the old logo is very remote!! I do not think you should have any problem.

Yes,no matter how I write the User Manual and tell people "READ THIS MANUAL FOR YOUR OWN GOOD" and "READ THE FAQ SHEET" I imagine about 20% actually do so. BUT... that 20% are the smart ones who I care most about helping.

I cannot help those who will not listen. MOST User Manuals really are written for legal reasons. By writing it in the User Manual the courts have ruled that this can negate lawsuits later. IF WRITTEN, it is all that the manufactruer need to do as the actual act of reading is not under their control.

That is why I constantly preach "read the FAQ sheet as it is loaded with useful tips and procedures that you will want". IF you look back from the start of this thread, I mention it some 50 times. The User Manual is written somewhat to protect Astak but the FAQ sheet is written to help the end user!

AND... note how my posts have caused Griffonwing to improve his appearance!! Why you would essentially think he is a CEO.

I also fully agree. There needs to be a lot more INFO on the devices somewhere on that site. I saw the site as FIRST a place people can go to learn in advance about the device... and secondly to buy books.

We will improve the info greatly on the device.

Dear Griffonwing:

You are not delusional. I love your logo!! I am using it in my presentations and speeches. Your logo is NOT forgotten. Let me see if we can get it onto the Pocket PRO packaging (box and User Manual). I cannot get it on the device as ALL Astak eBook Readers should have the same logo and yours is specific to the Pocket PRO BUT... your logo is getting some heavy use by me. You thought I just shucked it off. I did not. I am using it!!

Another possible spot for it is on the warm up page for EVERY Pocket PRO!! That would be a great help to us.
