Why I should be choosen ?
- I don't know, maybe because the random chooser pick me?
- I don't pretend on anything beside the fact I like too win a new reader

- Maybe it's too early, but I like to win a Cybook Opus, or a PRS 700 (but my mood prefere a Cybook one

)
Anyway I will be happy even if I didn't win

Mayday, Mayday, Have struck project Gutenberg. I'm taking on reading at an alarming rate. Trying to move through it with my TX,s 4" screen. Help need a bigger screen to bail with. Going down under a sea of unread books and readers regret. Mayday, Mayday...

I really want a e-reader. If I can choose, I prefer the one that you recomend for technical books.
I life in Madrid (Spain). Unfortunatelly, I have been five months of unemployment. I am a computer consultant and I will use the e-reader for improve my skills.

Why should I win? Because I read almost exclusively by ebook even though I am still using mobipocket on my Palm TX! I think it's time for a grown up ebook reader!

Hello there!! Wow...this giveaway it`s just GREAT...and fun...

Every night my mom comes in my room a couple of times because i have my light on (even though sometimes is very late--you know guys if you have a good (e)book (reader) it just sticks to your hands and you can` t let it go until you finish it

). We argue for a minute or so and afterwards ,most of the time I have to give up...lights off....
Then I say to myself :'If only I would have a reader with light incorporated -like the new sony-....' Of course I fell asleep very hard cause about an hour I just keep thinking about the characters of the book i was reading ...where are they?...what are they doing?. The next day,well , everything starts all over again...

Now , to answer the question... I think If i win a new reader i`ll give it to my mother so that she won`t bother me anymore to turn off my light--this way she`ll be to busy reading her own books

It would be completely amazing if I won this contest because:

I have NEVER won anything before -- EVER!!
I am a teacher and a mobile device would help enormously with my teaching -- especially my small class of ELL students.
Although I am sure that everyone who is logged onto this site loves to read, I'm not sure that everyone would consider it a passion -- with me it is.
Today is my birthday (really) and that means that today is a lucky day

My sons (yes plural -- twins) were also born today (really) and that means that it is a double special day

I just starting practicing yoga not very long ago and believe in the power of positive thinking.
I am going to participate in the SONY 700 BC forum because that is the ereader I really want -- it will help me with my studies (grad school) which will make me a better human being.
Thanks for considering my appeal

Well, who wouldn't want to winner a new book reader.

I've had my sony 505 since right after they came out. But, by tech standards its now ancient. A friend just showed me his new Kindle and I'm green with envy.

A DX would be a great way to read the Sunday NYTimes.

Choose me! Choose me!

Really, I've had my Sony PRS-500 for almost two years now, and it's almost always with me. But, it's been acting a little weird since the accident the poor thing had (I told it not to go near the bathtub unattended), and I fear it will leave me soon. I do dread that day, as I don't know how long it will take me to get a replacement (I know it wouldn't want me to be alone).

This contest could solve that problem, quite nicely.

I'm entering the giveaway, and should be granted a Sony PRS-700 because:

a) I really want to get my wife and/or daughter to read more books AND to realize how great reading is on an e-inc device. Passing on my excellent Hanlin V3 to them should do the trick!

b) In case she (my wife) still sometimes want sleeping instead of reading, I want to be able to continue reading without bothering her with the glare from the bedside lamp.

c) I've had my V3 for nearly two years, and because I've been hanging around MR all this time I have a serious desire for a testing another model...

- and finally:
d) Because I can - Sony PRS-700 are now available in Norway at IT24.no :-)

I deserve a new reader because I love the smell of e-ink. Actually because portable ereaders are better for my ADHD than meds.

I want to enter the give-away.

I think I should win because I want to encourage my children to read. I bought my son in Junior High School a used PRS500 for Christmas. He took it with him every day to school and even got "in trouble" for reading too much! Then one day about 2 months ago, a bully confronted him about his "toy" and then shoved it out of his hands and onto the floor. It landed on the corner of the cover and cracked the screen, now there is about an inch of the corner that doesn't draw in. He can read with it, but I have to use Calibre to reflow the books with a huge margin so that he can get all the text. I have looked at replacement screens, but used ones are hard to come by and almost as expensive as another used reader. That is why I should win the contest, so that I can give it to my son.

I should win because I am a Disabled Army Vet and on a fixed income. Unfortunately, a cool new e ink ebook is a luxury item, not a necessity for me. I am not sure which ebook I would get if I was fortunate to win the contest, however I could decide very quickly if I won the contest.
