Finished 'Dark Places.' It was an excellent, excellent book. One that will stay with me for awhile, I think. But that is two 'heavy' books in a row and I need something lighter for my next one

Finished 5/50 for my summer reading challenge. 'Stand by for Mars' the first in the Tom Corbett, Space Cadet series. I see there is an omnibus in the book uploads. I'll snag it for next time I charge my Sony...

Great author. Excellent reads..........even in paper version.

I'm currently reading His lady mistress. Its one of those free harliquin romances than I had gotten from amazon. I'm at 69% right now. Next book will be either a star trek or danielle steel book. I already have those on my kindle too

How sad is it that i"m reduced to reading cheesy paperbacks without my Kindle. (Actually, so far, its pretty entertaining)

Reading a short story anthology from 1992 that I picked up somewhere on the web. Strangely enough, I am recalling reading these stories and think maybe I downloaded them previously. Or maybe had it in pbook format. It is a deja vu sort of reading experience, where I almost remember the stories as I'm reading them.

Remember when you went off a while ago? To find yourself, or something? We were having discussions on netbooks.

I decided I HAD to have one. So I sold my extra K1 to help finance it.

Then........I agreed to loan my baby to my dil, who lives in Ohio.

Long story short,.......she's not much of a reader. Likes audio books.

Well, you did disappear for a while

I didn't have much choice. The Asus 1000HE beat everything else out there........and besides, RM bullied me into it.

Seriously, tho......its a great little machine. Does everything they said it would, has way more uses than I'll put it thru........but should come in really handy for this fall at school.

The battery life I get about 8 hrs......beats the heck outta my laptop at 1 1/2 hrs.

Just finished Lisa See's Shanghai Girls - didn't want it to end, but it did...and I wasn't fond of the ending (unless she's leaving it for a possible sequel).

On a whim started Don Felder's Heaven and Hell: My Life in the Eagles. Should be interesting as he's supposed to paint Glenn Frey & Don Henley as quite the "assholes". I personally know Glenn so it will be an opportunity to see him as someone in "the industry" sees him. Can't wait!
