The lifesaver here? The pool. The west side has a lattice cover.........so by 3:30, 1/3 of the pool is in shade. It has a large shelf on that end, so we just get in a wallow, drink wine coolers, snack on meatballs........'sigh. Life is so hard.

Oh........the water temp right now is 94 degrees. without the cover on. All you need is a bar of soap......

My thermometer in the Jeep read 96 degrees at noon. The pool was 81 degrees. Pool party!

The beer is cold...

Hey! 20C is hot, especially if you're a fluffy kitty living in Scotland.

It's those few clouds that keep us going...although we can't complain - it's been sooooo cool for sooooo long. Folks aren't aware of how the low humidity makes 105F pretty darn comfy.

Our backyard & pool face east and so after noon they begin the decent into complete shade. Pool's only been in the mid-80s here. Haha!

Wow, that's pretty warm for the Napa/Sonoma (I assume) area, isn't it? BTW, soooooooooooooo jealous. We were supposed to join a group for a weekend trip up to visit one of our favs, Del Dotto, but it hasn't happened yet.

I'm at the north end of the valley and we get all the hot stuff. At one time I considered taking oenology and if I had I'm sure I'd know which grapes grew better at this end of the valley. As it is I just enjoy.
