I am getting ready to re-work my resume. there is an opening in my section for another technician. there isn't even enough work for three of us let alone 4. I talked to my supervisor about this last week and all she said was to go ahead and apply for it. I will be absolutely LIVID if I do not get it!!!!

Hope it all goes well.

I am celebrating because I have a new (temporary) job starting next Monday. It'll be interesting and I'll be earning money while I find something permanent

I'm still in the midst of upgrading and rebuilding all of my laptops and desktops, as well as those of my neighbors. It's not the hardware that takes forever ... it's getting the freaking authorization for all of the program installations. News flash ... when Adobe says the wait time is 5 minutes, they really mean 25 minutes. I've seen better time estimations at the rides at Disneyland.

My wife and kids have taken in a kitty that has been hanging around the neighbor hood for a few days.

Kitty Picture!!!


We put some found kitty signs up at the post office and local stores.

Now the reason I post this, other than for a reason to put a kitty pic on the site, is that the kids and my wife now are getting quite attached to this kitty. They spent all day Monday talking me into keeping it if no one calls for it. I am not really a cat person but I don't want to toss kitty out onto its ear either. So if no one calls I think I have just got a cat. So if anyone has any name ideas feel free to post them.

Being grateful that even if Illinois has killer humidity, it does cool off nicely at night. Where did all my coolness from the Wisconsin glaciers go? Did Benham cut me off because Wisconsin wasnt' getting royalties on the glacier breezes?

I'm in reader heaven. I joined a Yahoo group for cozy mystery readers - or so I thought. It turned out to be mainly cozy mystery authors, and some of my favorites, at that. After I got over the shock of seeing Leann Sweeney, Jessica Conant-Park, and Mary Ellen Hughes' names in my inbox, it's been a lot of fun. They're all really down to earth and friendly.
