Well! It's pretty clear that the silver reader is the preferred choice! Almost a landslide victory. 22 to 19 certainly shows what most erudite readers want! Almost a landslide, I say! (But too bad Sony didn't make one in 'Desert Camo' for those who wish to bone up on Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" during a firefight.)

I think Silver wins by default because a lot of places have just the silver one.

Because, everyone knows Blue's the better color.

I originally thought blue looked best. But when I went to buy the 505, the only color that was available was silver. However, I'm glad I got silver, because it matches the inside of my M-Edge leather case; it makes it look more like it is one single unit, rather than a device housed inside a case.

I do own a blue 505 and yes, I do like it. Given the photos, the blue one is the best. But, that's because the photo of the red one is over compressed and nasty to look at. I voted for the red one having seen it in person. This poll (IMHO) should be redone using better quality photos so it's more fair. Blue is winning because the photo of the red one is not good enough and not true enough to the way the red one really looks.

This is how the red 505 should really look.

Ok, so I really didn't have a choice in color- didn't even know blue or red existed. But I am a firm and loyal friend to my reader, so I stand behind SILVER all the way! HI-HO SILVER! (silver is the color of money!! ok, of most spare change in the US...)

Gosh! I never really saw the readers in color before.

I'm very glad that I've now had the opportunity to do so. Especially this new, larger view of the red one!

I guess I just live under a lucky star or something. Maybe I have my own guardian angle. Having never seen them, I just lucked out when bought a silver one!

Truth is I ended up with blue because, when I went to the Sony Store to buy a 505, just after New Year's in 08, they had three blue ones on sale at 40% off. They'd been used as window displays and I couldn't pass that deal up.
