Tungsten T3 screens - bad quality?

Still looking for a replacement of my old Clie, I stumbled over a news item at BargainPDA displaying side-by-side pictures of two different Tungsten T3 models. The difference looks quite scary too me.

I just received the new T3 as a replacement for my beloved HandEra-- which is still going strong. The T3 screen is bright and beautiful. I am still worried about frying SD cards, so I'm waiting until I hear about a patch before I use any cards.

Apparently it is a coincidence whether you receive the T3 with the bright display or the T3 with the dim display.
