I am getting told by my wife to "get off the computer and come help pack the van. You know we are leaving in a few hours don't you?" so I guess I better get going. Going campin for 2 nights. First time we have tried this since we had our 3rd child. Should be fun.

Have a great weekend all.

It is Friday and I have just finished giving the flat a quick clean. How does it get so messy so fast?! And where do all the crumbs come from? And why does no one else in this house cleans the bathroom?

And I have just spent the past hour reading about otters and how they are the new squirrels.

Eating a whole box of fortune cookies, and not even reading the fortunes. I'm certain they are fortune cookies, even though they were given to me in a box marked "Doggie Duets - Two Premium Dog Treats in 1 Package!!" They look like fortune cookies, they taste like fortune cookies, and they have fortunes inside them (that I am not reading). Further, I doubt that the friend who gave them to me would try to pull a fast one on me.

I'm 1/3 of my way through a shawl. The crochet bug bit me again. I just ordered two colors of eyelash yarn for scarves.

Never could get the hang of crochet. I can knit (scarves and other square or rectangular things only), and tat (just). But crochet is beyond me.

I would think if you can tat, then crochet should be easy.

I also would love to learn how to tat. I tatted somethiing once and it looked good, but it wasn't ANYTHING. I want it to BE SOMETHING when I'm done, not just a pretty blob of something you can do nothing with.

there were some absolutely gorgeous tatted curtains that I drooled over in Germany. I sent my Mom a set with Swans once. no idea where they ended up. I think it would be fantastic to make my own curtains.
