Family gathering time -- 3 families are in PA, one in TN, and mine in IL. So Virginia seems to be sort of least amount of driving times people doing it. It's far for me, but not for the other clans.
If you are going to be here the weekend of the 27th, we are having a meet-up in Alexandria. I'm not familiar with Westmoreland Park, so I couldn't tell you if how close you'll be but if you feel like getting away from family for an evening (which I always want to do when I'm with my extended family ) come on by.

His mother told me the name of the play, it's something about "blond" and "bald" I think. (Sheesh, getting old is a pain in the brain.) I'll ask her again and let you know. Thanks for the interest.

I LOVE the Wells Fargo wagon!! We put on "The Music Man" my sophomore year in high school. It was a hoot! We got to wear great costumes and I had my first solo - one line about a grey mackinaw! I went on to my 15 minutes of fame when I was the female lead in "Oklahoma" but there is nothing like singing in the chorus of a play like the Music man. Ahhh, just what I needed. . .a trip down memory lane. Sheesh, now I'm getting nostalgic. . .this getting old can be terribly maudlin.

I love that musical!! I'm forever singing songs from it. Wells Fargo Wagon was one of my favorites. I also love Good Night My Someone and Shapoopie.

Family Guy has done some great renditions of music from that show in their series.

Trouble, it starts with T and that rhymes with P and that stands for POOL!!

Wells Fargo Wagon??? Never seen it. Took the wife to Mama Mia a few years back for our anniversary though...

As far as what I am doing right now... I just managed to boot my wife off of The Sims 3 so I could check the board and head to bed. Night all!!

I love it too! Now I'm going to be spending the rest of the rest singing it to myself (and to my nursery children, the poor things have to put up with my singing, which it great for me because I'm not allowed to sing at home when other family members are around).
