Okay... although we're getting a lot of nice suggestions, I was actually thinking more along the lines of things our technology can give us right now, if someone applies it properly. So, maybe not holodecks. But clean water and return to the Moon, sure.

I would, of course, only use the holodeck responsibly, thus no need for any heroic attempts by the crew or flashing red lights.

Uh, so does most un-replicated food...what do you think's in that "compost" fertilizer??

On a more on-topic note, I'd personally vote for a viable solar power system. Why the heck can't we figure that out? I've seen a few documentaries on alternative power sources, and the people living with solar power always have a wall of car batteries to store the energy in...so appealing to have in my house! Not.
