I'll go along because I've always wanted to see Paris and I'm already acclimated to the weather, so I won't be whining about being so cold.

He'll probably have to drive up through Canada to that little narrow bit at the top. Maybe the Polar Ice Cap will still be in place and we can go over on that. I understand there are ferries from Norway to Denmark, so we can cut down travel time a bit there.

As long as I don't have to swim or paddle across.

I can't find my nose mitten, so if you decide to go over the Polar Ice Cap you can just pass me by. I'll stay here and put a few blocks of ice in my concrete pond.

We're on our way, Zelda. I think. It doesn't sound like we need to be in a hurry about it either. Hasn't it always been cold and wet there (from a quick scan of your 437 posts in this thread going back to last year at this time)?

sadly, you are almost assured of getting crappy weather whenever you arrive.

we do occasionally have some nice days. we had 2 or 3 a couple of weeks ago, and i thought "at last ! summer is here !" pff. that didn't last long.

It's mid-90's and smoggy. Walking to the curbside mailbox was like trying to breathe soup. I LOVE IT! This is my favorite kind of weather, you know, when you break into a sweat just by changing your mind. It's like a free sauna out there.

oh, i should mention : your best chances of getting excellent weather are to come at a time when i am so swamped with work that the chances of me seeing any daylight or the outside world at all are subzero. usually the weather is gorgeous during those times. not that i know much about it first hand. but i hear about it on the radio sometimes...

We're in for another thunderstorm. I love storms in the evenings, especially when I'm laying in bed waiting to fall asleep. We've had a ton of rain this spring but we've also had incredibly beautiful weather. Mostly it's been partly cloudy and in the upper 70's and low 80's. After living in Florida for 8 years and experiencing DixieGal's "soup air", a little rain now and then is a small price to pay for the inbetween.

Those of you who are still running winter reruns, come on down/up/over to the beautiful Shenandoah valley! It's lush and green (and if you can handle the pollen) a great place to spend spring!
