It was hard getting my mind around the story........but am glad I kept reading. There is so much happening, on so many levels, you really have to pay attention.

I"m not sorry so far.....
I think I'll give it another shot...when it's available in ebook form (would that be when hell freezes over or AZ freezes??)

Oh Bob, I read Oliver Twist a few weeks ago and I loved it!
I'm trying to get accustomed to Dickens's work, so I started in French, with David Copperfield, than moved to Oliver Twist (so far loving the ambiance and giggling over the morals) but after that, I tackled Great Expectations in English...arrgghhh! The anguish! My vocabulary is not nearly sufficient to read it! I never had to read so slowly in all my life, and the pace itself is pretty slow... I open it once in a while, with a dictionary on my knees, but I don't know if I'll ever finish it.

I'm also reading The Rainbow, by D.H. Lawrence (in it's French translation), and so far I'm liking it, but I'm not carried away by it.

After that, Pratchett's work awaits...I've got a nice summer in front of me!

Finally - I've been punching that "I want to see this book in Kindle format" for almost a year!

Next - I'd love to see "Difference Engine" Kindelized!

Reading The Memory of Earth by Orson Scott Card. Read it 10 yrs ago, thought it was so-so. Reading it now, I'm enjoying it very much.

I read Ender's Game, but never pursued the series. I like happy endings. Speaking of which, I really liked Card's Pastwatch. It's one of the few books I have ever read and re-read several times.

Just finished 'Chasing Darkness' by Robert Crais, This was arguably his best to date. Less introspection and more action. Great read.
