It's a little cool... a bit less than 70 right now I think. But, it is a "dry" cool.

Majority of cooking, washing up the dishes, cleaning up after the cats/dog....don't I deserve a rest now and again ?

Yes, about 8 hours a day... While you're sleeping you can have a rest!

I'm afraid there's no training that old dog, new tricks OR old ones.

It took me at least 25 years to convince him that he really didn't need to keep 3 pair of shoes in the kitchen.

He's since chosen alternate inconvenient living spaces to leave them. But they're no longer in the kitchen. (Well, hardly ever.)

Small victories . . .

He believes that the small breakfast bar in our small kitchen is his desk (office) although he has a very nice desk (in which I fitted the file drawer with labeled file folders) in a room across the hall from our bedroom. That's too inconvenient a place for him to keep his paperwork. He thinks everything he owns should be handy for him, otherwise he "won't be able to find anything."

HAH . . . that doesn't work either, otherwise he wouldn't have to buy 2, 3 or 4 of the same tool because he can't find the original one he had; and I guess that's why after 2 hours of 3 people searching the entire house and garage, the TV remote control was finally found in his truck.

Why couldn't I think of a system like that?

Works for him.

I could literally write a book.

He gives me plenty of material from which to draw inspiration.

Oh, they have shown up. Now the enormously expensive farm sink that they installed has a HOLE IN IT! SINKS ARE NOT KNOWN FOR HAVING MORE THAN ONE HOLE IN THEM. IN FACT THEY ARE FAMOUS FOR NOT HAVING EXCESS HOLES IN THEM!!!!!

I wonder if they got your sink from the same place as the toilet we once had installed that didn't have a BIG ENOUGH HOLE in it. I think you may have found our missing hole.

So much for Quality Control.

How long will it take to get a replacement sink? Assuming of course that they'll be getting you a replacement sink instead of trying to patch this one. What are they goiing to do?

I just tiptoed quietly out to the kitchen to pour myself another cup of coffee, trying not to disturb those still sleeping in our home.

I set my empty ceramic mug on a 'non-existing counter top'* where, by the laws of gravity, it fell promptly earthward and, by the laws of Murphy, into the dogs water dish, where it then splashed water, shattered then scattered pottery shards all over the kitchen floor.

The resulting crash now has the whole household up and all the lights turned on. (I'm blaming the lack of light for this incident.) So much for letting everyone sleep in this morning.

*note: six inches left of the 'existing counter top'.

Most of the sinks in my house have at least 1 hole in them. Several of them have two holes.

How else would you drain the water out of them?
