Yes, I'm becoming a bit of an ebook snob. I even recently purchased an ebook when I had a library pbook available to read for free. It's longish - 500 pp, hardback - and I couldn't bear to be away from my reader for that long.

I might have to purchase the latest Star Trek novel in paperback as the price of the eBook is way too high and I cannot find it in Mobipocket format just eReader and I will never purchase eReader.

I have found myself recently buying an ebook that I already owned as a paperback, because I prefer reading on the 505. The fact that the PB had very small fonts also helped...

I prefer my books electronic, but I will buy paper books too, if the e-version isn't available. Though, I hate going to town, I love going to the bookshop

My 505 was a present from a friend due to vision problems so I use it all the time.
I should imagine the only time I will contemplate not using it is if a book I want is not available in electronic format & I can get it in large print from the library. |

I agree with most everyone here. Unless it's a reference book, some special format, or a pop-up book, it's got to be on my reader. I haven't read any paper books since I got my prs-505, except textbooks for school.

I've read 2 pbooks since getting the Kindle in February, and both were very light weight books (both literally and figuratively) and didn't take long to finish. I find that the physical weight of books is what really bothers me, and now I avoid hardcover at all costs (which means fewer library trips for me).
When I read the pbooks I kept getting irritated because I wanted to look up words, and no matter how much my little thumb twitched at the paper, my dictionary did not appear at the bottom of the screen. I was about 25% through some 1,000 page Goodkind behemoth when I got the Kindle, and there's no way I'm carrying around that crap now. I no longer have to read paperbacks that are as wide as they are tall and strain my hands holding it open! If it's available in e-format I'll start reading it again, but otherwise I'm out. |

I also don't like to read any pbooks anymore since I have my ebook-Reader.
For me it is much easier and it makes me (my eyes) much less tired to read ebooks than reading pbooks. And I enjoy very much to have all my books with me everywhere, at any time. Before I had my ebook-reader I stopped often in the middle of a pbook, as I travelled somewhere, didn't have space to carry the book with me, thinking I wouldn't have time to read anyhow. Coming back I was "out" of the story and didn't find in anymore, especially when the next travel started soon. Many books I also stopped to read because of their very small printing-sizes. With my ebook-reader all this is no problem anymore. I even scanned some of the books which I wanted to read but so far aren't available as ebooks so far. I didn't buy any pbooks since I own my ebook-reader, but for sure if I have read an ebook which I love very much and want to keep in my real bookshelf, I will buy such a book as pbook too afterwards. But my ebook-Reader also helps me to save space in my apartment. ![]() Greetings, Momo |

I'll read a a pbook if it's not available as an ebook and it's something I want to read. Also, some graphic novels that aren't available or just won't look good on the reader. Everything else is on the 505.
