I concur. My preferred colour of choice would also be blue. But not just any blue. Not sky blue, and not turquoise (pronounced "ter-QUAH") but a real earthy deep dark blue.

You don't really see any earthtone shades in most electronics. They're almost always neon or bright vibrant colours. Whatever happened to pastels? I think earthtones are also pastels, but dark pastels. Anyway, I'd like to see some readers with these colourtones.

Also, not glossy. Pastels should be in a flat color. Probably with a sandy/lightly gritted texture. Easy to grip, less obvious to scratches, no smudges. It would also give it a more durable feel.

But anyway, Blue for me as well.

My favorite color is Electric Blue. I carry around an Electric Blue EZ Reader all over the country. So, I am True Blue.

BUT. when we were selling colored-body 6 inch EZ Readers the blue seemed to be the last thing anyone wanted. Now one of the owners wants "PURPLE"!! I think that is not too great but am open.

Your post is forceful so I will reconsider the blue. I have attached the colors we went with last time. Is my blue a bad blue? Maroon was the big favorite last time.

O.K., if Griffonwing wants blue I do not have much choice. Let me try and kick owner butt and get a blue instead of purple.

I am going to try to get some Pantone color swabs to post. If not: I will post the website where all pantone colors can be viewed and you can tell me what number codes you like. Right now I am looking at Pantone colors #219 for the pink, #381 for the green, and #241 for the purple.

I am attaching the maroon and blue from last time. Criticism is of course expected.

ANYBODY can join in the fun!! Pick a Pantone Color (I will post the website for those unfamiliar with Pantone Color Charts) for the EZ Reader Pocket PRO 5 inch!!

Just pick a good BLUE as one of your selections!!

Five years ago when the Kindle was only an evil gleam in Daddy Amazon's eyes, the first eBook Readers were being planned by PVI. PVI tried to get a professional controller company to design a controller but there was NO INSTALLED BASE and the controller companies all laughed. PVI had to design a controller from scratch. It was good enough, but not fast!

NOW, with an installed base of almost 1.75 MILLION eBook Readers, Epson has decided that eBook Readers are worthy of a fast controller. Essentially, the Epson controller is anywhere from 3x to 5x faster than the old PVI controller on page turns. While some have said the speed in not that significant, the people on this forum want the fastest!!

In a nutshell, that is the story, sir!!

Yes you are right but that is easily accommodated with a simple test for the switch in the firmware or maybe not even needed to test as it can't be hit on a 6" model. Of course we haven't seen the follow up 6" model either. At that point I expect them to be back in sync.

Yes, it does. It is the latest generation controller and has more precise handling of the screen permitting faster redraws and 16 levels of gray. It also allows partial screen redraw, perfect for menus. There are several other advanced features. It is not clear how many of them the eBook people will take advantage of but the ones I listed are likely to be the most important. It uses the same screen but much more effectively.

For BLUE, I kinda like PMS2728 and PMS 280.

For green I kinda like: PMS 111

For maroon I kinda like:PMS 174 and PMS180

For pink I kinda like: PMS189 and PMS224 and PMS218

For purple mabe: 2592

Dale IS the right word everytime. I try to answer questions but Dale REALLY knows the exact answers. Always trust Dale as he does know.

Dale actually takes the time to find glitches in software and then send them to me so I can get them remedied. THAT is how much this guy knows!

Agree, plus the Ref Blue PC

Also the Dark Slate Blue 2965 from griffonwing (though I couldn't find it) I love slate blue

This range of blues, not the cyan or aqua line.
