So, what you're saying is, you want to buy a battery-backup from the Montsnmags House of Humour - good choice, as it has its ups and downs.

Maybe it will be like my lost Prius key (and replacing it will cost about the same). After I had searched "everywhere" and knew it was thoroughly lost, I had a new key made (for $225). A few days later as I was putting on my shoes, there was something in the right shoe. You guessed it, it was the Prius key. So if I buy another EZ Reader, my old one will turn up. (BTW I already checked all my shoes.)

I wonder if RobertB will give me a discount on a new one.

that's usually how it works when i lose something. "the fastest way to find whatever you lost, is to replace it."

i hope you find it before you replace it though... it's a lot bigger than a key, you'd think it would be harder to lose...

Anyway, thanks for looking.

P.S. I really need an alarm on my reader so I can find it. Senior moments suck! And I hear it just gets worse.

Thanks, montsnmags. Those tales sound interesting.

P.S. Do gibbons have tails? If you give them to me, how will they hold on?

I checked near the moss-covered three-handled family grezunda. It wasn't there. I marked that spot X357J.

I looked in my workshop behind the router case. That's usually where the marking pencils end up. I had also not slipped down under the cushions and zillion pillows on the couch, but I did find the cable remote. It is also not in the back of the top drawer of my desk at work, but there were a bunch of appointment slips that I did not keep.

I do what I can to bring underexposed cultures to broad minds. I'm a Ninja Critic, hurling literary stars at your brain. Also, I'm possibly deluded, though, how can one tell?

Quote:
P.S. Do gibbons have tails?
Stick a million gibbons for a million millennia in front of a million Moleskins with a million Montblancs mashed into their masterful manus, and, Oh!, such tails they could tell. I suggest monkeys may feature often in the antagonistic roles, and that they may make use of homonyms as weapons.

Quote:

It's okay - they like soft rock and easy-listening, and can hold for hours.

I've searched for it in my spousal unit's truck. That's where we found the TV remote a few years ago after hours of hunting all over the house for it, and nasty accusations being tossed around of someone stealing it from him.

But alas, no EZ Reader there. Shame too. Aside from maybe the chimney and the wood pile, it seemed like the most logical place to me.

Has anyone checked the bottom of the birdcage? That's where a lot of reading material ends up.

I'll search the garage next (oh my.)

I've search high,
and I've searched low.
It wasn't under the guzunder,
nor under the chimney pot.
I've had a look in the garden,
And over by the den.
It's not in the woods,
nor in the hay barn.
You've looked in your prius,
and I've had a look in mine.
(I found some well-chewed gum)
I've had a shifty in the fields,
and looked beneath badgoodDeb's shields.
But it's no-where to be found.
Have you tried the thingymegig,
or under the whatsit?
If not there you'll have to find
a book on paper - oh - that's where you've left it...

?

connected to your PC,
or on the wooden bookcase shelf,
fifth from the bottom and 8 books from the right......

How about the freezer? I'm not home right now, but that's always a good place for geezers I mean, chronologially advantaged persons to look for things they lose.

Is that anything like wanting a baby but not being able to have one so you adopt and as soon as its final you find out your pregnant?

Have you tried that?

If it was me, I"D give you a discount.........BTW, you do have your books backed up, right?

And please, dear slayda, this was NOT a senior moment. Plenty of those dang young whippersnappers lose theirs, too!
