yesterday was possibly a bit *too* hot, but today it is cold and raining. suddenly i don't really feel like meeting a friend for a drink later. i'd rather stay home with some tea. with all this crazy back and forthing my poor sinuses don't know what to think. they are not too happy. and i will be something much worse if i get sick again now...

It is a beautiful sunny day here, I'll send it your way! (I'm suffering from a cold at the minute, so won't send that.)

My sinus are generally unhappy every time a big storm moves in -- I tend to get a headache from the low pressure. (Okay, I'm not sure that's what actually causes my headaches, but it sounds reasonable. Many years ago at university, I did meteorology as part of my undergraduate degree, but most of the knowledge I gained from the class left me long, long ago.)

sounds plausible to me. usually if i am getting a bit sick or feeling uncomfortable in my sinuses i go see my chiropractor and he verifies my skull to be sure that everything is aligned properly, it actually really helps. you could try that, if you have a lot of sinus troubles.

Warming up into Road Construction Season quite nicely. My fanatic grandson was actually in the pool yesterday, even though water temp was only 69 F. (About 20 C). Raining today off and on.

What does "verifying" your skull consist of? I have sinus troubles, and at this point I'm ready to consider anything.

Yes, please post them! I'm hoping to get photos ready tomorrow nite - this evening will put everything into the tumbler and polish it nice and shiny, then photograph it tomorrow nite, then try to sell it Thurs.

Next week, the whole week we will be at jeweler's school in the north Georgia mountains. I'm expecting poor, if any, internet connection.

it's not painful, if that's what you mean. while i'm lying on my back, he puts his hands on my head in different positions, and applies gentle pressure sometimes. the only bits which can be uncomfortable are when he pulls my ears a bit but even i find it completely bearable, and i am a big baby. the head is full of empty cavities (the sinuses) in various places and in theory they are all connected and air / fluids should be able to move freely throughout them. but if they are mis-aligned (this can happen if you bump your head, or have dental work done, or for any number of reasons, because a lot of things can shift around in there, surprisingly) then they can get blocked up leading to a feeling of pressure and heaviness in your head, or sinus headaches, or a sinus infection, or earaches, or all of these, or even other symptoms...

sometimes when he is aligning my skull i can feel a moment when i realise the pressure has been released (it's very subtle, sometimes i just feel suddenly like my head is lighter and clearer, or maybe i can breathe better, or my headache starts to go away...). in general i always feel better immediately, but depending on your state you can sometimes have an amelioration that will increase little by little over the next few hours or even day or two.

a friend of mine advised me to try this since i used to have sinus infections regularly (every time i got a cold it would invariably degenerate...) and since i started using this treatment i haven't had a single one. i use it preventively as well, like today i had an appointment and with the schizophrenic weather i've been feeling my sinuses a bit unhappy, so i asked him to just make sure, and i feel much better.
