The skies cleared a coupla days ago, but the low pressure moved offshore and is pushing up big seas. We might be protected by the Heads, seeing as it'll be an ESE push, but they're predicting 3.2m (10.5') swell on-shore by Saturday evening (<----Surfcam linky, for anyone interested). It looks like Noosa Main Beach isn't getting its sand back quite yet.

We going to have our school's May Fayre tomorrow -- so hoping for hot, sunny weather. (Okay, its not going to happen, but I can hope. Even if it doesn't rain, I would be happy.)

We did (get the storms). Actually, it was areas a few hours drive south of us:

The winds have turned back around, and the SEerly is starting to bring the rain (and accompanying wind) back up here. Not that I'm complaining, mind. I don't live in Lismore, Grafton, and so on, and the flooding our region got a few days ago - same rain system - was at the south end of the Sunshine Coast, round Caboolture. Still, could be an interesting few days coming up, if only for the largish seas.
