If part of the electonics got broke, i understand changing the device is easier. But it shoudn't affect warenty.

Yep for sure. One thing I always fear is with sending device is that the more fragile part will broke during the transportation (like the screen for the Cybook) and the customer service told me that I broke it and ask me to pay for. It'll never happen for me but I always fear of it ^^

I returned mine in its original packaging.

If there is doubt in your mind, you could always take 'photos...That way if it arrives and they say a fragile part is broken (on the outside/screen) - you have 'proof of some kind'.

Yeah. Take pictures with a newspaper next to the reader, otherwise they might just think you took a picture when first you bought it ...
