Plus, I have yet to find out what's so hard about telling one's customers what will be in the next FW. If they aren't done programming yet it's kind of provocative to tell the customers that the next FW will be released soon. And if they are done programming and have started testing there is no way they don't know yet what's in it... (And yes, I know there is always the possibility that if they can't fix it while in testing that something might get pulled at the last second but normally you either give a fixed release date and don't talk about what you might/might not get done until that date or you share the features in the next FW but don't give a fixed date when it'll be done. As they don't say when the FW will be out there must be *some* fixes/features which will definitely be in it, they can always sursprise us with a few more...)

Man, what happened to you France? You used to be cool. Now you don't even make the best wines anymore! You're whole laissez-faire attitude is what keeps you out of the forefront of western society. What happened to you France, what happened....... |

Intersting interview here. All in french, sorry. I'll try to make a summary once i'm no longer at work. Seams I'll need to plan a real BIG budget for the salon du livre 2010. Last edited by EowynCarter; 05-19-2009 at 07:24 AM. |

The intersting part is the answer to the "what's in the box ?" question. The Dahan speaks of two trend. The small cheap E-reader (the opus for bookeen). And then they goes speaking about wireless, tactile and color. That lead to the "when is that comming" -> "For wireless, end 2009". No more words about tactile though . But looks like bookeen is already working on yet an other device. Then they goes speaking about color screens -> still horribly slow. |

Now given Bookeen's history with the Gen3, would you buy yet another device from them?

I like my Cybook. And being french, it's easier to get support from bookeen than any other company. Getting my reader back in one week was just awsome. I expected it to be more like one month. While i'm begining to be a bit tired of that mess, it don't change my overall positive opinion of bookeen. Last edited by EowynCarter; 05-19-2009 at 08:20 AM.

- no bugs in the firmware - no features missing - all important ebook / Text formats supported - ... To sum it up: I would only buy again from bookeen if its "A perfect eBook reader" Because I wouldn't expect them to fix any remaining bugs or missing features very fast or at all.
