@version365 - you could only use them with the older version of calibre - they did not work with the current calibre/Qt6. That was why you came here to post in the first place. Anyways glad your issues are resolved now with 2.5.1.

Hey, can I say I also appreciate fine typographic controls? I got my covers deliciously fine-tuned with SemiBold titles and Light series name. Thank you!

Thank you for your hard work on this! The new functions look great!
As I went to test the update out I noticed that my existing covers that use a full page image as the background now have a white section at the top. The controls in the Dimensions tab do not solve the issue (Resize cover dimensions to match background image), and the 2nd option (Resize image to scale up if smaller than available area) cannot be checked. Is there some new process I need to follow? |

Not sure if I attached this correctly, but if I did then you should see a screenshot of the issue.

The intentional change I made to the plugin with 2.5.0 is that it now respects the padding settings for the Image element even when you choose the stretch as background image option. My intention was to offer flexibility - if you had an image which was stretching too far in one direction, or you wanted a gap at the top/bottom but still have text on top of it etc then you could do so by setting non-zero padding values. The problem is that the configuration migration code is a mess that needs cleaning up, I will sort this out in a new version which will do this for you. |

Generate Cover release
Release Notes:
https://github.com/kiwidude68/calibr...te_cover-2.5.2 As discussed above, the reason some users will see white strips above their background images is because on the Content tab if you click on the Image field you will see there is a non-zero value for the "top" value. This release resets all those padding for image values back to zero, so anyone upgrading doesnt incur the same "surprise" that some of you experienced. It does mean that anyone using an image not stretched to the background but was using top padding to keep it further below some text above it will have to reapply some value to that field, but I am guessing that is a much smaller minority and such is the price of progress... |

Hi.. sorry to disturb you again.. with another request.
![]() I just noticed that in the new font style choosing dropdown list, there is only 5 fixed styles.. Light, Normal, Demi Bold, Bold, Black. For the most part, that works great.. but for some font families with unique fonts, it is not enough. For example, the Ubuntu font family has a 8 different individual font styles installed on my pc. There are also some other font families.. some have 3 styles, some have 2 etc. And they are vastly different than simply Bold or Light; some have condensed style, some have expanded style, some have cursive style etc. which are not choosable via the dropdown menu. What I am suggesting is that the dropdown menu under Style be similar to the calibre settings. In the Look & Feel settings under calibre, the font choosing screen has the option to choose between all the installed font styles under a particular font family. Would it be possible to show these variable font styles in the dropdown menu, instead of the fixed styles? |

I excluded the other weights because they have no Qt5 equivalent (ie older calibre versions).
