It's still bloat. For those who do not, it's not needed. I'd rather not have Kobalt become too large considering it runs within Nickel.

How granular is the line height setting? With the patches, I have the line height have some settings less then 1. So I'm hoping Kobalt is granular enough to have a number of setting below 1.

Yes, it does. I also use line-height less than 1 in Nickel and I was able to set more or less the same height in Kobalt.

Is it possible to add integration with nickel-screensaver? I feel like that would be a great addition for people using it, especially since it mirrors the screensaver-over-text function that KOReader does. Other than that, I love it! It's a crap ton better than the default KoboOS, and the amount of customization and the speed is 100 percent an upgrade. Thank you so much for this!

That's just bloat. We don't need those options taking up space.

Yes, screensaver-over-text already kinda works in Kobalt (see the custom option in Settings > System), but it doesn't integrate with existing wallpapers or NickelScreensaver yet.

That's something I'd need to look into -- Kobalt and NickelScreensaver likely conflict with one another a bit.

This is on me. Calibre and the KoboTouch driver make a bunch of modifications to the file when uploading. I'll need to reassess a bunch of workflow stuff on my side, it might be enough that syncing won't work for me.

Thanks. Once I get the new firmware installed and patched and Beta 6 is out, I'll give Kobalt a go.

If the program is too large, it could cause problems with the limited memory on out Readers.

That's interesting:

Does Kobalt send book metadata to the kosync server?

Nope, it's just plain KOSync. Shouldn't be too hard to make it work with CrossPoint Sync given how easy it was to add KOSync.

As an aside: beta 6 should also make books without DRM work with Kobo Cloud (Kobo Stack) with firmware 6.0.

Crosspoint sync isn't the only server that accepts metadata. Kosync.eu does the same.

Right, I checked and that's not built into Kobalt right now (yet).
