I believe these are the release notes.

Quite a few new features.

Libby (Previously OverDrive)

• Multiple library cards: You can now link up to 6 library cards to your Kobo account. Go to kobo.com/librarycards to get started.
• Important: To keep reading borrowed books, you’ll need to re-link your library card. Go to kobo.com/librarycards to get started.
• Now, your card(s) will be linked to your Kobo account instead of an individual eReader.
• Libby is available in select regions; see help.kobo.com for more details.

Kobo Stack

• Kobo Stack is a premium subscription offering powerful features to seamlessly manage your entire digital library, personalize your content, and secure both your eReader and notes.
• Upload to Kobo Cloud with two quick methods: Email your eBooks, PDFs, and documents to your unique Kobo Stack address, or drag and drop files directly into your Kobo library on kobo.com.
• Uploaded content and annotations will be saved in the cloud and synced across connected devices.
• Access exclusive workbooks for journaling, note-taking, and planning.
• Visit kobo.com/stack to learn more and get started.

CloudLibrary

• Link your Kobo account with CloudLibrary to send borrowed eBooks to your Kobo eReader.
• Available with CloudLibrary partnered libraries in Canada and the United States.
• Visit kobo.com/cloudlibrary to learn more and get started.

Annotations

• This update introduces a new renderer to display eBooks. This may slightly change the layout of the pages for eBooks already on your device.

Readium LCP DRM

• If you have LCP DRM EPUBs from a library or other eBook provider, you can now add them to your Kobo eReader.
• When first opening an LCP DRM EPUB, you may be prompted for a passphrase; see your book provider if you need help with this.
• Passphrases will be stored locally on the eReader and attempted automatically when opening subsequent books.
• To clear saved LCP passphrases, go to More > Settings > Accounts > LCP data > Clear.

Adobe DRM sign in

• If you use Adobe DRM books, you can sign into your account directly on your eReader.
• Note: Adobe Digital Editions now uses ByteBooks for sign-in. Visit dtsbytebooks.com/transition-help to learn more, set up your account, or get support.
• To sign in on your eReader, go to More > Settings > Accounts > Adobe.
• Once signed in, you can add Adobe DRM license files (.ascm) to your eReader, then open them in My Books.

Wi Fi WPS (Wi Fi Protected Setup)

• Connect to a new Wi Fi network using WPS to join without entering a password.
• If available on your router, go to Join a Wi Fi Network > Connect via WPS, then press the WPS button on your router.

More

• Clock: You can now display a clock while reading. Turn this on or off via Reading Settings.
• Bluetooth: Turning on Bluetooth no longer causes Wi Fi to turn on.
• PDF rendering: Kobo Clara Colour and Kobo Clara BW use a new renderer for DRM-free PDFs.
• eBook rendering: EPUBs & Kobo EPUBs (KEPUBs) now share the same rendering engine.
• Accessibility: Large Print Mode has moved to More > Settings > Accessibility.

The new features like librarycards and stack aren’t available in Germany.

Still waiting but I did enroll via the web with Stack and tried uploading a PDF. It worked and the PDF appeared in the Kobo Android app.

[PeterT]

Also I've tried emailing a book and it shows up in the Android App!

Also have registered two library cards (my regular Toronto Public Library card and an additional one I signed up for through the Newmarket Public Library that is open to all Ontario residents and lets me join the Ontario Library Service which consolidated access to many other Public Libraries across Ontario).

[PeterT]

The email address is of the form [prefix from your Kobo account]-[random 8 digit id]@cloud.kobo.com

Just had confirmation from Kobo that StoryGraph integration will work for content loaded by Kobo Stack. I realize it's not the same as true sideloaded integration....

The Kobo CEO expands a bit on things like availability in this Threads thread: https://www.threads.com/@mtamblyn/post/DfXW7ZyH-MG

We are releasing to our first round of countries: Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Spain, for Kobo Clara BW, Kobo Clara Colour, Kobo Libra Colour and Kobo Elipsa 2E.

LCP at last! Kobo ereaders with Kobo OS 6.0 now support Readium LCP-protected content. This unlocks a host of new ebook sources: more library systems, especially in Quebec and across Europe, and all kinds of other places that use LCP as their DRM.

Kobo Stack requires installation of Kobo OS Beta. The limited time offer of a 90-day free trial** available for new subscribers and Kobo OS Beta participants only. $3.99/mo. after trial; cancel anytime. **not valid in Quebec; 14-days free trial for residents of Tennessee and Washington, D.C.

is your country not on the list. Hang in there! More countries NEXT WEEK.

I tested a sideloaded book with Kobo Stack by uploading and syncing a book to my Libra Colour, iPhone and iPad Kobo apps which worked. I then read about 14% on my Libra Colour and the reading status synced between devices. Not actually that much use to me since I seldom read other than on my Kobo eInk devices.

Another item is that I tried the kobo.com/librarycards link, I ended up at a page that was not available. It showed /us/en/ and when I edited that to /ca/en/, the link worked. When I went to my Kobo account, there is a Library Cards entry under My Account which allowed me to add 3 library cards.

Yeah. I saw the same thing with the US vs CA website
