WIFI connection to Calibre
I've searched and haven't found an answer.
Is there a way to connect my Clara HD to Calibre via WIFI to my PC so I have the same interface as I do when using USB as well as the same functionality? I.E. books marked read via the custom column I have as well as percentage, series and collections columns as well as books on device and/or Calibre only. The only one I've found require Koreader which I don't want and it doesn't appear to do what I want anyway. I just want a simple connection that pops up if I open Calibre on my PC with WIFI enable on my Clara HD asking if I want to sync with Calibre. Don't want any conversions or anything just a simple sync connection that I can use to work with my books in Calibre and on my reader without using the USB cable. In case your wondering why, the USB receptacle is starting to get a bit loose so I use a wireless charging adaptor I leave in in all the time and charge wirelessly so I'm not constantly inserting the plug. It's in all the time and being a low profile, it's protected by the cover. The only mod I've done and want to do to my reader is use Kobalt. |

Using Kobalt does all the custom configurations I want, not saying Nickelmenu isn't a good addition, for me it's just adding an additional thing I don't need. I don't have to connect via USB that often so it's not earth shattering having to connect via hard wire, I just thought there may be a way wirelessly. |

Nickelmenu just adds a shortcut/quick link for Kobo features that already exist in the system. If you want, it can show only Kobo Uncaged and nothing else. Kobalt is a reading program, while you have to select books outside of it anyway.
It looks like you’re putting obstacles in your own way and missing out on the features you want to add. It’s your business of course, I just don’t get what you would actually lose by having nice features without any disadvantage. |
