Read Book in Browser: Sync Back to Content Server?
My cursory tests of reading books in a browser via Calibre Content Server seem to show that reading stats (position, time, completion...) don't seem to sync back to the Content Server. Is that correct? Or, am I just missing something?

THey sync back thats how cross device syncing works. If you wmena you want it to sync with the desktop viewer then you need to specify a username in the desktop viewer misc settings sections to sync it with the annotations created by that user in th econtent server viewer.

Just a plain old browser (Brave) pointing to the Calibre Content Server (CCS). I've got username/passwords set up in the CCS and a certificate so it's connecting via HTTPS. I just tried one book, but it looked like it didn't sync. I'll do some more testing. I'm brand new to all this CCS stuff, so it could very well be that I'm doing something wrong or missing something that's happening. I'll let you know.

It looks like my Kobo/KoboUtilities experience was leading me astray. I was expecting my reading in the browser via CCS to somehow modify various reading columns in Calibre itself. But, that appears to have been a mistaken expectation. However, it does actually sync reading progress across different instances of the browser via CCS on different machines. I'm assuming it will do the same when I actually get this iPad mini I ordered and can set things up there. Also, the Calibre Viewer in my host machine's Calibre GUI doesn't sync to where the browsers do (I've given it the same User name). Perhaps it's reading the local data from Calibre, itself, instead of using whatever CCS uses.
