Countless millions will be sold. 8,342 people will legitimately need one for some reason. The rest just foolish spending and greater debt.

I greatly dislike reading on my phone. The 19.5:9 aspect ratio just feels really weird to me. |

But yeah, that aspect ratio...reading on a slab phone feels weird now. The duo feels so much more like a real book in your hand (1.45:1 on the duo vs 1.5:1 average analog book). |

It's also an absolute joy to read on. I personally love the matte inner screen. And its super cool that e-reading feels more like reading a real book: One page at a time is fine, I don't need to have any device feel "more like a real book." I need adjustable text, one page at a time. My iPhone 13 Pro is fine to read on, and it fits in my back pocket or small purse. IMO, that picture is a con, not a pro. |

A $2000 emulator of a $9.99 real book? That's a bit on the pricey side, even for Apple. True, it makes phone calls too - but it seems awkwardly shaped for that task. I see it as a $1000 phone (worth only $500 to me) with an additional $1000 eReader tacked on.
The gadget is neat indeed. But the price makes it laughable IMHO. But that's true for a lot of Apple's stuff. |

TCL offers real matte screens with the NXTPAPER devices and not an applied matte screen protector. Besides TCL doesn't charge a premiuim for this type of screen. Huawei also offers matte screens, but some devices are only available in the PCR. There are also other companies with matte screens for some devices, although TCL is the only one with phones in the portfolio as far as I know. A foldable phone is missing in the portfolio though. I really don't like these pseudo page turning animations, actually I disable animations on most of my devices. Except for Fiio DAPs on which I want to use the cassette mode. I also don't like the 2 page options on reading apps like Librera. I see no advantage while reading a book and displaying the content on 2 sides, except maybe in a CBZ/CBR or PDF file where the content is actually spread across 2 pages. But, like the old Romans used to say: de gustibus non est disputandum. |

I had the same problem when I bought my 32" 2560x1440 monitor. Back when I was using a smaller 1920x1080 monitor I would browse web pages full screen. Now, on the larger and higher resolution monitor, that is just too much. So these days I run my web browser in a window that's less than half the width of my screen rather than full screen as I used to. For example, this is very hard for me to read comfortably: |
