Plan to upgrade primarily to get the nano-texture screen. Tell me why I shouldn’t. I use the Mini for just about everything but mostly reading.

Seems his primary objection is the 60 not 120 hertz. Doesn’t really matter to me as the games I play, wordle, backgammon, chess, etc, perform just fine at 60. Little there about the nano screen which is my main upgrade consideration. Thanks for the link.

They should make the mini foldable. Call it the iPhonpad Duo.

There are a few reviews on YouTube for the nano screen, MacBook. Tempting.

I have the nano texture MacBook Pro and matte screens in my office. I had been saving for an 11-incher, which is fantastically expensive. This is also very expensive, but I can afford it with what I had saved so far. This is a lucky time for me.

I'm with you. Mostly for reading. I'm definitely ordering it. My question is - do I get the nano-texture? Pros: no glare. Cons: I hear that it dampens brightness and color richness, maybe makes text fuzzy. I'm out in the boonies, so I can't see any product with the nano-texture. YouTube videos don't really help that decision. If you get it, I look forward to what you think as far as reading goes.

Yeah, after thinking about it and finding a youtube video that really showed the comparison, I'm also passing on the nano screen. However, as I have a mini 6 which is no longer getting updates except for security, I'm ordering the 8 in the standard screen (256K).

I got my gen7 when they first came out, two years ago. Used it A LOT! I think I’m in love with it. Parting would be such sweet sorrow. Can’t do it.

I have an IPad Pro 2020 that I do want to upgrade. But I'm not doing so because it still gets updates and runs my apps. |
