New Gen 3 Scribe color?

Just discovered today my Scribe is Gen 1 and now up to Gen 3 and color. My, how times change. I'm sure it's wishful thinking but I have several titles that had to go to my iPad Kindle app because they have color. Would I be able to send them to the color Scribe just by going to content and sending?

If you had the Colorsoft Scribe and you're sending Kindle books to it, sure. You would have to do something else to copy calendars, handwritten notes, drawings, etc from one scribe to the other.

Yes, books bought in the Kindle store and currently in my iPad Kindle app for the color. I looked at the product page for the book and it doesn't say either way, that I can find anyway. No notes, etc. on it. It's just a big enough to satisfy me page size Ereader. The new one would be 8% more satisfying than this one even. But so would the not color and for less expense.

If the book can be delivered to your black and white kindle then yes, if not it might be doubtful and there’s some other reason why it has to go to the iPad

No, they can't be sent to my current Scribe which is why they had to go to the color iPad. Mostly what I currently have "ain't broke" so maybe I won't "fix it". Color might be nice sometimes though. If I could just know for certain about my existing color required books.

From your comment that they can't be sent to your current Scribe, I would suspect that they are a format that can't be sent to an eInk Kindle though I've seen several children's books that say they are compatible with the Colorsoft but not the B&W eInk Kindles.

Take a look to see if any of the books in question have a line in their information that reads:

Quote:
This title is only available on select devices and the latest version of the Kindle app. Please refer to the supported devices list before purchase. Available on these devices
Where the Available on these devices is a link that pops up a list of devices/apps. See attached image for an example though that list has not been updated in a while.
