Forget any slowness due to the hand counting. 40 minutes after the polls closed at 20:00, they were declaring a majority Conservative government. Some of the results could be blamed on the Green party which elected it's usual duo of MLAs but managed to siphon votes from the New Democratic party in enough ridings to give the Conservatives a massive majority (62 to 29 to 2) of the 93 seats though those numbers will likely change slightly over the next couple of hours.
