Fix Go 7 stuck in bootloader

Hey everyone, this is my first time using this site, I signed up to get help with this. I recently got a Boox Go 7 and it's been great, and then a few days ago I rooted it using this guide: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...0&postcount=53

It worked great, except for two issues:
1. When enabling Wi-Fi, it would crash and reboot. I "fixed" it by keeping Wi-Fi on during sleep.
2. It would also crash during power off. This one is weird because it doesn't actually cause problems (it's already shutting down anyways), but it took away the ability to set a power off image as it would just get stuck on the loading dots.

Seeing these issues and realizing I wasn't really using Magisk much, I decided to go back. Big mistake. Now it's stuck on the bootloader and I can't seem to get it out. I have tried re-flashing everything in the guide to no avail. Please help!

I came across your post while I was also researching a general way to perform firmware upgrade on a device rooted with doomgoatman's method (of which, hypothetically, one of the steps might entail unrooting or restoring stock) so it is of interest to me, however, I don't have any concrete ideas how to help you get unstuck.

Do you remember the steps you performed to get back to stock, and did you flash a stock abl image? Also, the wifi failure seems interesting to me, what was your firmware version?

If I remember right, I started with uninstalling Magisk in-app. When that didn't make a difference, I flashed the stock boot.img to both slots. I don't remember if this didn't make a difference either or if this is when the boot loop started. I then proceeded to completely forget the warning in the root guide and flash the stock ABL. I then went on to flash some random partitions (I remember vbmeta, xbl, and vbmeta_system, but there may have been more) in a vain attempt to fix things. I then decided to re-flash everything from the root guide, but that didn't fix it either even after doing it multiple times.

I was foolish and didn't make a full backup thinking "I'll just use the stock firmware if I need to!"

4.2, I updated to it using the built-in OTA right after I got my tablet, and then downloaded the same version for the root guide.
