Hello! First post here- or in any forum- in my life... mostly used to commenting on mainstream youtube & discord...
well there's my greetings fellows, hehe. just made an account to reach out to the author and people after reading about multicore conversion being difficult, here I want to share my 2 day mini adventure: - tried to get a huge (35MB) bilingual ebook (EPUB) with pinyin (it was mandarin-english) on kindle where sending from email or the web/windows sendtokindle service had error. - next tried converting on online converters which were dead ends, then found calibre and tried that, took 7 hours... then failed. I needed to convert this EPUB file to AZW3 for my kindle oasis 10th gen. since it's to keep best formatting and I wanted dictionary selection plus hyperlinks on the table of contents, etc, continuing... - ultimately: got glm5.3 to provide a solution, and oh boy... this script for EPUB to AZW3 did it in 5-10 minutes... all cores 100%... then tried opening in calibre, but I guess the resulting 86MB .azw3 was too much (error)… then tried on kindle and IT WORKED! so then now I'm here writing this. only thing is the cover image not showing, kinda sad, but oh well... leaving that for a future fix hopefully XD. It may be buggy as I'm yet to extensively use it, though it looks usable so far. Attatched is the zip containing the file as provided, readme in there too. Simply drag and drop your epub file you want converted to azw3 onto the .bat file. Hope this helps! |
