[App] KoSend: Send books from your Android phone to KOReader (No PC/Cables)

Hi everyone,
I've created a new open-source Android app called KoSend.
It's designed to solve a specific annoyance: getting books onto a KOReader device without needing to boot up a PC to run calibre or hunt for a USB cable.

Instead of requiring a new plugin on the e-reader, KoSend acts as the calibre side of KOReader's built-in wireless connection.

Features:
  • Zero setup on the e-reader: It uses the standard Calibre wireless client that already ships with KOReader. Just go to the Wrench tab -> Calibre -> Connect.
  • System-wide share: Share an EPUB, MOBI, or PDF from your mobile browser, file manager, or chat app directly to KoSend.
  • Queue system: Add books to the queue whenever you want. They will all be transferred the next time your e-reader connects.
  • Proper Metadata: Title and author are extracted from the EPUB, so they show up correctly in KOReader's metadata search.
  • Privacy first: 100% local network transfer. No internet connection required, no accounts.

How to use it:
1. Install KoSend on your phone and add some books to the queue.
2. Turn on the server toggle in the app.
3. On your e-reader (in KOReader), tap the top menu -> Wrench tab (Tools) -> Calibre -> Connect.
4. KOReader will automatically discover your phone and pull the books.

I have tested it extensively on a Kindle Basic (5.18.1) with KOReader 2026.07.1 and an Android 16 smartphone. I know it also works on a Kobo Clara Colour, but I am looking for more testers!
If you give it a try, please let me know your device model, KOReader version, and if the transfer went smoothly.
