@BetterRed, @jbacelar - I will take a look into this at some point. As you say it is a non-trivial addition to the plugin but I agree it would be nice if it supported it. I've got to focus on some personal stuff now that I have been kicking the can down the road on while getting all these plugins in a better state for future support the last couple of months - but when I find some time again will definitely revisit.

Any thoughts of doing so, I gave up on User Categories because the PI didn't support Custom Columns. My gut feeling is that it's non-trivial.

I have implemented this in a test version for someone to please test - will give it a week or so for updated translations to come through before releasing. Would appreciate it if anyone can verify it does the job, my own testing it seemed to behave but then I may not have tried every single possible custom column type.

The key changes are that it supports additional builtin metadata types like formats, identifiers, languages etc, as well as allowing you to choose custom columns. I also fixed publisher which has always been broken due to incorrectly pluralising it in the plugin.
