Hi!
Trivia question: Ever wonder what shopping mall in the 80s existed in 3 cities all at once? Answer: the one in my self-published novel on Amazon. If your Gen-X, you’ll get the jokes and 80s references. If not, it’s alright - this story is made for fun and humor but with the underlying message that trying anything is always better than nothing. While there are Easter eggs for locals, this is all about the story, and I wanted to give the reader the opportunity to take a character they see within themselves, and take a small vacation from reality. The story makes fun of everything, but it’s a message that whether you are dealing with baptized vampire girls, the end of the world due to the ozone destruction, or just dealing with the bureaucracy and business of religion and end up in school at a shopping mall, it’s all par for the course, and don’t worry, your religion probably blames you for much more than you think! My novel, WEST END CURLS: Protocol 89 is a free read for Kindleunlimited until December 1. I’m not in sync with technology so I refuse to put the link here since I would never click it myself thinking I’d download a virus, so there’s no way I’m doing that to you. And you don’t need to go to Amazon to get the answer to the Trivia Question: its White Flint Mall in Rockville, Kensington, and the politician-created, boundary stretching lunacy of North Bethesda, Maryland, which sounds like the start of a joke about somebody who gives bad directions. Thanks for the opportunity to post here. I was in my teens working at this very mall during the timeframe this novel takes place, so you can imagine I was not about to become a content creator and YouTuber so I could stare at you while you ate dinner on the other side of the screen while I sold you my infomercial on my channel like a bad version of QVC. While I admire and applaud those who can do it, I grew up hoping for an Atari for Christmas, so I need to stay in my lane while the world zooms by. Love it or hate it, even if you bought my novel it’s still less than your lukewarm latte you ordered online that’s been sitting on the counter for 20 minutes for everyone to touch to see if their name is on the cup. If you do read my novel, please review it. I don’t mind your honesty, and truthfully I put the best I had into this condensed storyline so I wouldn’t have to drag anyone through mind-numbing sequels where the final novel would feel more like a tribute to the hit TV series, THE GOLDEN GIRLS. Happiness to all, A.J. Blue ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I, too, hate promotion; I have no social media

I requested my account be retired and/or terminated through the CONTACT US section below. Nothing happened other than having another free promo post disappear into the ethernet before I realized I was braking the rules! You seem to be savvy here, so if you can get my account 'retired,' or get me banned for any reason you think will work, I'd appreciate it? This is a great and valuable site, so even though I have no idea what a Sticky is, I certainly appreciate it's old-school vibe, and desire to not be an Amazon algorithm sinkhole. Thanks for the time, appreciate your community, and Best Wishes to All. A.J. Blue |

You are correct: This is a promotional Forum for authors and Publishers. But there are Guidelines that we all must adhere to. I respect Mobileread, and I am thankful that it is here. And I sense that you do, as well. All you need to do is read the link I enclosed yesterday: It explains everything you need to know about how to use the site when making a promotional post. And if you ever have a question, I'd be happy to help. Basically, this is what you need to know: Promotional posts are only allowed every seven (7) days. And one thread is for one title. You have a second title, then make a second thread. Each thread is for a specific title. That means an author must think ahead when posting, in order to take advantage of times when a book might go on sale. Also, take advantage of making a promotional post when your seven (7) full days have gone by since your last promotional post. So I say to you with all sincerity: Stick around. Participate in some forums (if you wish.) Have fun. Be thick-skinned. Read the Posting Guidelines for Self-promotion. Ask questions. Hell, even I ask questions, and I've been here almost 20 years. Take advantage of Mobileread's free service for promotions: we don't charge you. And guess what: You can always respond in your promotional thread when someone asks a question about your book. But don't promote. Wait seven (7) full days to make another promotional post. I leave you with the message below: HAVE FUN! HAVE FUN! HAVE FUN! HAVE FUN!
