Potentially relevant news for anyone here living in the DACH region / German-speaking countries of Europe and using the Onleihe library service.

It is a bit disappointing because there were alternatives that offer servers in Europe and now we have a library system that is very much dependent on servers in the US. This feels out of touch when Europe makes an effort to be more resilient.

Who owns Overdrive these days? I remember Rakuten had purchased them at some point to beef up the Kobo integration, but then I think they sold it.
