Sure. I thought it would look redundant.

(Of course, given MR structure doesn't go well with wider images, I had to resize these)

When you grab book blurbs, can you filter out the rubbish such as reviews, if you liked, for fans of, and any sort of adverts

That's the problem with downloading blurbs. They rarely come clean.

I don't see a straightforward way to implement the filtering. Will think about it.

Try AI and see if that works.

I gave an AI some full descriptions with the rubbish included. I corrected the AI a few times and after that, it's working well to filter out the rubbish.

‘Totally gripping and atmospheric. This hypnotic timeslip about witches is compulsive reading. Breathtaking and beautifully written… Will stay with the reader long after the last page.’ Bestselling author of The Witch’s Tree, Elena Collins

Now: When Adrianna arrives at the small, run-down cottage, near the sea in rural Norfolk, she can’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Here she can forget her life in the city and the problems she’s left behind there, at least for a while.

But – like Adrianna herself – the cottage holds secrets. And when Adrianna finds a mysterious bundle of notes hidden under a floorboard, she can’t shake the idea that they’ve been waiting for her. Especially when – in the rambling, overgrown garden – she then finds a strangely-carved stone, drawing her into a centuries-old mystery…

1646: Between her work as the village midwife and the medicines she sells from her cottage, Ursula has no need for a man. But this ideal leaves her unprotected in a world where just one accusation of witchcraft can mean certain death. So when she catches the eye of a powerful new local doctor, she must use every part of her cunning, or risk becoming his prisoner…

Can the two women – their paths bound by place and history – each find the keys to their own destiny?

Utterly gripping timeslip historical fiction, perfect for fans of The Witch’s Tree, The Essex Serpent and Weyward.

Bestselling authors love The House of the Witch:

‘I was completely hooked by this brilliant timeslip novel. Unmissable!’ Louise Douglas

‘A haunting tale of one woman’s struggle to be independent at a time when strong women were seen as a threat and dealt with accordingly. The House of the Witch gripped me from the first page and refused to let go.’ Jenni Keer

‘A page turning historical novel that kept me guessing until the very end.’ Rachel Burton

Readers are loving it too:

‘I absolutely loved this book… Historical fiction at its best. I loved the two strong women bound by place and history. I read [it] in two sittings, it was hard to put down!’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘Wow!!! I was totally hooked from the very first page… A real page turner!’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘A wonderful timeslip novel, that reminds me of Barbara Erskine… Highly recommended.’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘Captivating… [A] gripping story of courage, resilience, history, triumph, discovery and hard-fought freedom. I highly recommend it!’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘Wonderful!… A totally absorbing tale, I read it in a day… I absolutely loved it.’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘Amazing and fascinating… So atmospheric… So many brilliant twists, and breath-holding moments, I really struggled to put down this fantastic book!’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘An amazing read!… The ending was perfection!’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

‘I absolutely loved this book… I’ve been in a reading rut recently and this book reignited my love and I finished the whole thing in snatched moments in one day… I loved it.’ Reader Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One major challenge is Language scope. The junk phrases are English. Many BS sources are non-English (Mondadori, bücher.de, bol.nl, etc.).

Adding this heuristics is possible, but I think this will ensue false positives and provide low real benefit

BTW I noticed Mondadori is failing and bucher is very slow. Next version will provide fixes for those and some other sources. Along with several new features.

Do it in English if possible and have it translated.

What’s New — Version 4.6 → v6

Main Dialog & Book Listings
  • Interactive breadcrumb navigation: The current source header now displays clickable breadcrumbs — click any category or group level in the path to jump directly to that node in the source tree, where applicable.
  • Watchlist & Starred Books: Star any book using the new star button on its card or via the card context menu. Starred books are saved across sessions and gathered under a dedicated Watchlist item at the top of the sources tree.
  • Library Ownership filter: New live filter dropdown on the listing bar allowing you to view All books, Only in my library, or Only missing books at a glance.
  • Batch Add to Library: Added an Add all button to the listing bar — imports every book in the current listing into your Calibre library as book entries in one click, respecting your empty-book format, comment, and cover preferences.
  • Multi-list presence badges: Book cards now feature presence badges with tooltips showing how many downloaded lists feature that specific title (e.g. Appears on 4 downloaded lists).
  • "More from this author" search: Added a context menu action on book cards to instantly search all locally cached lists for other titles by the same author.
  • Estimated reading duration: Book cards now display estimated reading times based on page counts and your configurable reading speed.
  • Refresh & Load More controls: Convenient buttons on the listing bar to force-refresh the current source (bypassing cache) or fetch subsequent pages on supported paginated sources.

User Reviews Hub (New Tool)
  • Dedicated Goodreads User Shelf browser: New standalone tool accessible from the toolbar menu to browse any Goodreads user's public shelves and reviews via list RSS feeds. The RSS Feeds are located at the bottom of the user reviews page, which is accessible below the user profile picture on Goodreads website. Example:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/lis...w&view=reviews, then the RSS link at the bottom is: https://www.goodreads.com/review/lis...62?shelf=#ALL#
  • Inline feed management: Add, edit, or remove user shelf feeds directly inside the Hub dialog without opening the main Configuration window.
  • Integrated translation: Seamlessly translate review texts using the built-in translation helper.

Review Finder
  • Find Reviews by ID / ISBN: New direct lookup action and dialog accessible from the toolbar menu to query reviews directly by identifier.
  • Goodreads user history dropdown: Added a Goodreads user toggle and history dropdown in Review Finder — filter reviews for a specific reviewer with remembered usernames.
  • New review sources: Added review support for Kobo, Delfi, and Lectulandia.

Blurb Finder
  • New blurb provider: Added direct blurb extraction for Lectulandia.
