I watched the first few episodes of Blue Ridge: The Series on Amazon Prime. I then watched a few more to see if it could get any worse. The answer was "yes"... so much worse. But at this point, I can't seem to look away from the trainwreck!

Had a similar experience watching The Waterfront - first few episodes were unbelievably awful - ended up binging the series.

I have that on my watchlist to check out. Just finished Sketch Artist on PBS, only to find it got canceled on a major cliffhanger. Also just discovered yet another version of The Bridge (#5 unless I missed some), this one in Malaysia. The German-Austrian one (Der Pass) was pretty good

We haven't been watching a lot of tv this week. We did watch the first episode of the new season of The Great British Bake Off, where Nigella Lawson made her first appearance.

Some reviews from the recent Tokyo Game Show:
Spoiler:

Quote:
There’s something uniquely captivating about this game. From sudden riffs of rock music to unscripted encounters, exploring its vibrant, kaleidoscopic world feels like living in an alternate reality. Surrender to the journey and let it surprise you.

///
Set off on a playful search to track down the wandering pup Polka in this game of exploration and serendipity. Meet charming characters, lend them a hand to make new friends, and explore a cozy world sketched in ballpoint pen. You don't need words on this adventure, just smiles and high-fives!
Studio Ghibli seem having been involved in Blue Miki, which looks as an aesthetichally RPG charm (by Netmarble, published by Level 5).

Some are very nicely hand drawn thought.

Hope it fits on a 240p/480p TV .

I'm watching the new series of The Great British Bake Off, Strictly Come Dancing, Only Connect, and Richard Osman's House of Games.

And that's just the terrestrial broadcasts.

I have also got addicted to Korean/Chinese/Japanese limited series romances on Netflix. The combination of an audio-visual movie with reading the subtitles just seems to really work for me.

So much so that I've hardly read anything recently.

I watched my first KDrama (and my first TWDrama) in 2013, my first JDrama in 2014, my first CDrama in 2015. As of right now, these are my viewing stats: Welcome to the rabbithole
