A suggestion, though I don't know if Calibre allows it or if it's already come up before.
In light of the increasingly common issues we have these days with Cloudflare BS and failed updates, it would be nice if the job complete pop up flag were to be colored to indicate success or failure. When it takes multiple tries, sometimes many, to update a story the text all starts to look the same after a while. |

So, this question might already be answered and I just did not find it, in which case I would appreciate somebody just pointing at the answer.
FF.net is broken yet again and some stories only load their chapters if I skip the story-title in the URL and use pure chapter number. Is there any way to get FFF to use the same address when checking browser cache? Shortened URL does not seem to work as it seems to stop shortening the URL before it is short enough. |

When testing try_shortened_title_urls it was random which shortened URLs worked--that's why it shortens the title instead of just removing it (like you're asking for). The no-title version was just as likely to fail as any given shortened title version, and removing letters gives more than one option to try. Unless they've changed it to deliberately frustrate us (a possibility), I believe you were just unlucky. |

I understand if it is not something to prioritise and I must admit I have not checked the source code so I do not know how complex it would be to add such an option but I wanted to ask the question at least. |

I have a request. I get some duplicate story IDs in my email, which appear as "Same Story Included" or something like that in the Errors.
Would it be possible to have all of the "Same Story Included" by themselves (such as the top or bottom of the errors) so that I can easily copy the URLs of the ones with actual errors (right now, the 525s)? Thanks either way! 😁 |

Where are you seeing this? Can you show an example?
In both the 'Proceed' dialog log and the job log, the results are already sorted for me, "Same story already included" under Skipped vs Error. |

Per book settings?
The issue that I have is on SV/SB. Some authors use "Informational" posts for book-related information, something like editor comments, list of characters, etc. In this case, I like to have those posts to be downloaded and added into the final epub. But some other authors are using "Informational" posts for announcements like "I will not publish a chapter this week, because of..." And there are tons of garbage posts like this, not needed in the final epub. It is possible to open the final epub in the editor and delete such useless chapters. But if the book is still ongoing... So I started to thinking, maybe it would be possible to add a per-book settings? For example, in the "Update existing" dialog, add an expandable sub-dialog where user can enable-disable some settings? I know, I want it for at least one book and disable "Informational" posts. In some cases "first_image_cover" can be toggled, handling of spoilers can be different in different books. Something else? Ideally, the complete copy of personal.ini (or some sections of it usable for that particular book, like epub+base_xenforoforum) can be copied into the book's directory. Such file can be removed after the book status become "complete". Or even left alone for future references or re-download. I am expecting a need for such fine-tuning to be very rare, but it could be useful. |

What you can do is Story URL Sections within personal.ini. Here's an example from my own personal.ini of skipping Informational threadmarks for one story in particular: Code:
[https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/a-cape-in-konoha-worm-naruto.778357/] add_to_skip_threadmarks_categories:,Informational |

There seems to be a weird issue with the early access story on RR where FFF is not detecting one of the chapters. Specifically, it looks like it's not detecting Chapter 92. Originally I thought to wait a bit to see if the next chapter getting released would fix it, but instead FFF just jumps to Chapter 93 from Chapter 91 and says it has 92 of 92 chapters.

Is it possible to use add_to_output_css under [teststory:storyId]? It works under [test1.com] as expected, but I don't know how to use it for specific test stories.
EDIT: Silly me, it has to be [http://test1.com?sid=storyId]
