The new Kindles do not support wireless charging. The charging stand requires you to remove the Kindle from it's cover to have access to the pogo pins (also used by the page turn covers).

You obviously don't get why some people have different preferences than you and why they feel about various things differently than you do. Or you would not use phrases like "button lovers should be very happy with this solution". Nope, I'm not happy and the cover solution doesn't suit me at all. What suits me is the Oasis form factor with buttons. That was perfect.

Clearly there were enough people complaining about the lack of buttons, so their solution was to release this new cover, and the remote. It's not quite what a lot of us were hoping for, but it's a step towards it! |

I hope that, if even by Amazon a project for a newest device release takes more than just two or three months, the others brands did wait it to drop the cards, so them can do something "accordlingly" (e.g. for the prices, or have a thought on what the market sector lacks).
Imho if them even had something quite ready, the other major manufacturers would had wait anyway. Not to mention that on the actual rised cost of the hardware's pieces, well... what can be the order of devices Amazon made for these "6" devices? On some million pieces? It won't be that weird that others had to wait for the manifacture. Not that I know, I'm just freely speculating. |

I have met plenty of people with disabilities. Some would benefit with a stand and the BT page turner.
But I've never met anyone who has an issue with a touchsreen given that the device can be held and the buttons used. |

I'm perfectly satisfied with my current Kindle (2021 PW) but I'd be willing to upgrade just for the page-turn remote. My upgrade pricing comes to what I last paid, but with ads and no promo KU access. I'm having deep thoughts about whether I should push the button

Who said they're unable to use a touchscreen? I didn't. I said I'd like my ereaders not to have touchscreens. That's not the same as not being able to use one.

Note that Amazon raised the prices for quite a few of their devices at the end of Aug. Kindle Basic 2024 went from $110 to $150 and is now the same price as the new 2026 model. The same thing with the Paperwhite. the 2024 model went from $160 to $200 and is now the same price as the new 2026 model.
Other devices included in the price hikes were Echo, Fire TV, and eero. Fire Tabs were not included. So when Amazon slashes prices during Black Friday, expect to pay the same retail price that existed before the August price hikes. |

It would be hard for me to name any consumer product in which the prices have not been hiked lately.
