For the Customize ComfortLight settings patch, changing the base address from 0xE9C9B4 to 0xEA4364 seems to work.

This way of anchoring the patches should be more robust for firmware updates. And the same code works for firmware 4.46.

Code:
Disable forward/backward swipe Gestures:
  - Enabled: yes
  - BaseAddress: {Sym: "_ZN11ReadingView12processSwipeEP12SwipeGesture"}
  - ReplaceBytes:
      Offset: 0xE8
      FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "ReadingView::nextPageWithTimer()"}
      ReplaceH: 00 BF 00 BF
  - ReplaceBytes:
      Offset: 0xF6
      FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "ReadingView::prevPageWithTimer()"}
      ReplaceH: 00 BF 00 BF

Disable menu swipe gesture:
  - Enabled: yes
  - BaseAddress: {Sym: "_ZN11ReadingView12processSwipeEP12SwipeGesture"}
  - ReplaceBytes:
      Offset: 0x134
      FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "ReadingView::openQuickAccess()"}
      ReplaceH: 00 BF 00 BF
  - ReplaceBytes:
      Offset: 0x13c
      FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "ReadingView::openFooterMenuOnSwipe()"}
      ReplaceH: 00 BF 00 BF

When I get a chance, I'll test if it applies to 4.38.23828 and the latest 4.46 firmware. If they do apply, I'll updated things.

These don't work on me. But I'm not sure. Maybe I need other path for removing Shop Kobo and Kobo Plus from the bottom of Home page.
Kobo Aura One
Code:
Never show Kobo Plus, wishlist, and points SmartLinks:
  - Enabled: no
  - PatchGroup: SmartLink
  - Description: Removes Kobo Plus, wishlist, and points SmartLinks from the rotation.
  - BaseAddress: "ActivityManager::smartLinkGeneralMessage(Device const&)"
  # NOP Kobo Plus (2):
  - ReplaceBytes: {Offset: 310, FindH: 02 23, CheckOnly: true} # MOVS r3, #2
  - ReplaceBytes: {Offset: 320, FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "QVector<SmartLinkType>::append(SmartLinkType const&)"}, ReplaceInstNOP: true}
  # NOP wishlist (14):
  - ReplaceBytes: {Offset: 218, FindH: 0E 23, CheckOnly: true} # MOVS r3, #14
  - ReplaceBytes: {Offset: 228, FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "QVector<SmartLinkType>::append(SmartLinkType const&)"}, ReplaceInstNOP: true}
  # NOP super points (17):
  - ReplaceBytes: {Offset: 430, FindH: 11 23, CheckOnly: true} # MOVS r3, #17
  - ReplaceBytes: {Offset: 440, FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "QVector<SmartLinkType>::append(SmartLinkType const&)"}, ReplaceInstNOP: true}

Do you have any other patches in PatchGroup: SmartLink enabled? If so, those will have to be disabled for this to work.

A PatchGroup will only allow one patch to be enabled per shared tag.

I did verify that the patch applies. I did not have any of the other Smartlink patches enables when I tested this So I know it at least applies correctly with none of the other Smartlink patches enabled.

General patch question.

If I enable "Default ePub serif font" and set the Kobo font face setting to "Publisher Default", will I see my newly chosen default font when there are no embedded fonts in the ebook?

I usually delete fonts from books, except for those cases where using multiple fonts is important for context. So I'm looking for a setting where the Kobo switches between the embedded fonts and my preferred font automatically. I'll take suggestions if there's a better way to do this.

I'm using only these:
Code:
overrides:
   src/libadobe.so.yaml:
   src/libnickel.so.1.0.0.yaml:
     Set KePub hyphenation: yes
     Shorten dictionary entry not found message: yes
     Cyrillic Keyboard (GloHD/ClaraHD/AuraOne/H2O2): yes
     Always show confirmation dialog before upgrading: yes
     Remove recommendations (row1col2) from home screen: yes
     Never show Kobo Plus, wishlist, and points SmartLinks: yes
     Allow rotation on all devices: yes
For understanding I'm mean region which I mark by red square. Which patch I need to remove it?

You are best to just side load the font you want to a directory called fonts. Then you can choose the font you want and not have to deal with Publisher Default.

I just tested the patches you want to use and all applied. Download the ZIP file again. It's possible you have an older version posted before Never show Kobo Plus, wishlist, and points SmartLinks was fixed.

I'm think that correct patch is one of these:
Code:
Remove footer (row3) and increase cover size on new home screen: no
Remove footer (row3) on new home screen: no
and it marked as: ## Does not work

They night do. But I would not use either of these with Never show Kobo Plus, wishlist, and points SmartLinks.

They do apply. They are not marked as not working. You are thinking of a different firmware where they may not work.

That's my current state, and it requires me to try to remember which books still have embedded fonts. I'm hoping to make this work automatically.

You don't have to remember. You can use the Quality Check plugin to search the CSS for @font to see which ePub have embedded fonts. Then you can remove the embedded fonts you don't want and resend the fixed ePub to your Kobo to replace the copy already on your Kobo. That will solve your problem.

You can also apply Un-force font-family override p tags (std epubs) which will let you override the embedded fonts with your choice. If you read ePub. if you read KePub I think the default is to override embedded fonts with your font choice.

You can have embedded fonts for things like chapter headings and special sections, and your chosen font for body text. Is that what you want? If so, the patch you want is Un-Force user font-family in KePubs.
