Installing macOS 27 removes Rosetta. He’ll need to open any intel app to reinstall. I’m not sure KP4 will trigger Rosetta since main ui is Apple.

They can install using the Terminal app by entering:

softwareupdate --install-rosetta

In MacOS 28, Rosetta will not be allowed unless a third party version is created.

Sure, but that is a year away. Hopefully Amazon will have their apps updated to Apple Silicon by then.

I've recently updated to Previewer v4, and conversion is no longer working.
I'm on Apple Silicon Mac.

If you have recently updated to macOS 27 and have not re-installed Rosetta that could be a factor. See the last several posts in this thread.

Otherwise I am not sure what could be causing it. It would be helpful to see the full log of the conversion failure.

Added: I also suggest running the Kindle Previewer manually to make sure that it is installed correctly and able to open EPUBs.

Apple Silicon. I had to install Rosetta and it worked. I'm on Previewer 3.

Haven't even checked if Previewer v4 needs Rosetta, I for sure thought the v4 major release meant they've deprecated all of x86 binaries, which turned out to be incorrect:

Hello, I'm having countless errors such as:
AttributeError: 'KPR_CLI' object has no attribute 'sequence'

On Windows 11, Calibre 9.15, KFX Output 2.21.0 with Kindle Previewer 3.106.0.

Is there a way to revert to 2.20.1, which worked perfectly for me ?

That error will be fixed in the next release which should be out within a few days.

In the mean time the previous plugin version (2.20.1) is attached to this message.
