John M. Ford's classic _The Dragon Waiting_ (historical fantasy about getting Richard III installed on the throne and why.... well, that's kind of obvious) is $2.99:

17 books at top tier, so not as good value as the Aldiss bundle.
Haldeman's books tend to be long. So it's a better value then it looks.

Flesh and Spirit (The Lighthouse Duet #1) by Carol Berg is $2 on Amazon.com (only)
Quote:
The rebellious scion of a magical dynasty may hold the key to bring peace to his world in the first entry of this epic fantasy adventure duology.

As the son of a long line of magically gifted, pureblood cartographers and diviners, Valen knows his path in life is predetermined by his family and society. On his seventh birthday, his own parents even went so far as to predict his death. He thought rebellion might steer him clear of his family's legacy, but the life of a thief was not the best choice. Wounded during a heist, Valen is abandoned by his partner in crime and left for dead in the freezing rain with only a worthless book of maps.

Offered sanctuary in a nearby monastery, Valen is soon drawn into a secret society concerned with the fall of civilization. With civil war looming, a dark age looms on the horizon, and Valen's seemingly worthless book may be the key to saving the kingdom. Unfortunately for him, that means it's time to stop running and embrace his destiny . . .

The two books of the Lighthouse Duet— Flesh and Spirit and Breath and Bone—jointly received the 2009 Mythopoeic Fantasy Award

Just got this bundle (from the UK). Although I've read a significant number of these, I've not read at least half of them so definitely worth it. And re-reading the ones I've already read should be fun as well. Thanks.

I already had some in paper form, but since I loathe reading paper books nowadays I got the bundle. I'm particularly looking forward to re-reading the Helliconia trilogy.

Still on sale. "Recommended" by Cassandra Khaw here:
Quote:
I have such complicated feelings about this book. On one hand, the horror was immaculate. On the other, the horror was, as the kids would say, horror-ing and aggressively at that. Kraus pulls no punches with this book. The Sixth Nik is unkind; it is cruel in the way the universe itself can be cruel. No, not cruel. Cruel implies pleasure. There’s an animal brutality to the events that makes me want to weep: half for the suffering endured by the characters, half for the fact it feels endemic to our own reality where so much of the agony we endure is the result of systems that may, one day, be unraveled but probably not in our lifetimes. Even thinking about the book upsets me still despite the fact it has been literal months since I read it. I love it. I loathe it. I recommend it with the caveat that this includes so much violence to animals, children, and jesus christ, basically everything and anything that moves. (P.S: I’m aware I have told you absolutely nothing about the actual plot and whatnot but it is literally so upsetting, my brain just skids around description of it.)

The True Queen (A Sorcerer to the Crown Novel #2) by Zen Cho is $2 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Standalone novel, not a "sequel".
Quote:
In the follow-up to the "delightful" Regency fantasy novel (NPR.org) Sorcerer to the Crown, a young woman with no memories of her past finds herself embroiled in dangerous politics in England and the land of the fae.

When sisters Muna and Sakti wake up on the peaceful beach of the island of Janda Baik, they can’t remember anything, except that they are bound as only sisters can be. They have been cursed by an unknown enchanter, and slowly Sakti starts to fade away. The only hope of saving her is to go to distant Britain, where the Sorceress Royal has established an academy to train women in magic.

If Muna is to save her sister, she must learn to navigate high society, and trick the English magicians into believing she is a magical prodigy. As she's drawn into their intrigues, she must uncover the secrets of her past, and journey into a world with more magic than she had ever dreamed.
This Brutal Moon by Bethany Jacobs is £3.5 in the UK (Kobo, Amazon)
Quote:
The thrilling conclusion to The Kindom Trilogy that began with the Philip K. Dick Award-winning These Burning Stars, the epic space opera novel about revenge, power and the price of legacy.

This is an INCREDIBLE bargain, stories written by an author revered for his artistry and vision.

I already have a complete set, both in hardback First Editions and in ebook.

If you want to read the very best that science fiction has to offer, (before it strayed into the realm of space ships and mere theater), and how GREAT science fiction connects with the very best in humankind, then READ and REJOICE.

If you don't have an audible account and cannot get the audiobook version of Project Hail Mary, buy it from Amazon for $2.99 and then get the audiobook for $5.85.

The audiobook is excellent. I listened to it. I think it's better then reading the book.

One Foot in the Fade (The Fetch Phillips Novels #3) by Luke Arnold is $2 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Quote:
Welcome back to the streets of Sunder City, a darkly imagined world perfect for readers of Ben Aaronovitch and Jim Butcher.

In a city that lost its magic, an angel falls in a downtown street. His wings are feathered, whole—undeniably magical—the man clearly flew, because he left one hell of a mess when he plummeted into the sidewalk.

But what sent him up? What brought him down? And will the answers help Fetch bring the magic back for good?

Working alongside necromancers, genies, and shadowy secret societies, through the wildest forests and dingiest dive bars, this case will leave its mark on Fetch's body, his soul, and the fate of the world.
