Okay, thank you! That's great to know. Looking through the wiki I can see that this should go under the epub section of the personal.ini, but I only want it to be added when the download source is archive of our own. Should I put it under the archive of our own section or do I need to add something to this epub section code to specify ao3?

Just curious: When I use the open_pages_in_browser to bypass 525s on AO3, FFF first opens the ToC and the full work Then it then opens the first chapter, but it's afterwards (which is noticible when doing mulitple stories). Why exactly does it do this?

You can place it under [archiveofourown.org:epub]

Not sure. Can you capture a debug log of one?

Do you have is_adult:true set? On AO3, adult check is passed by adding "?view_adult=true" to the URLs. You can see more hits then as you rarely load pages that way manually. But I would expect that first, not last.

- Plugin: Apply INI Snippet to Get URLs from Web Page and anthology update.

The "Get URLs from Web Page" dialog now has the INI Snippet drop down. You will also see that dialog as "Get URLs from Series Page" when doing series Anthology updates now--before it was skipped.

The following "Get stories from URLs" dialog will automatically default to the same saved INI snippet used to get the URLs. If you edit a One-time snippet, it will not automatically populate in the "Get stories" dialog. So save it as a named snippet, or copy it to paste in.

I added this and it worked! But I noticed whenever I update an epub, I get another/duplicate of the "Please drop by the Archive and comment to let the create know if you enjoyed their work!"

For one fic I updated the epub three times, and now I have 3 of these messages per chapter ending. How can I fix this so it doesn't add a message every time there's a chapter update?

Sorry, forgot to mention: Put a class skip_on_ffdl_update on that tag too.

When an epub chapter is read back in during update, everything outside the <body> tag is discarded, as well as the first <h3>, the first <h2> tag (for historical reasons), and any tag with class skip_on_ffdl_update. That way you can include additional items in chapter_start inside the <body> tag that will be replaced each update. This is useful for sites that have additional chapter info, like chapter word counts or chapter dates.

You'll need to manually remove the ones you already have. Calibre's Edit book has a pretty easy find-replace.

I've been getting 525 errors today that I wasn't able to shake with the ao3.gay trick, so I tried the browser cache workaround for the first time, and I'm having some trouble with my bookmark tag/notes not saving.

All the other metadata seems fine, but my custom columns don't seem to be showing up as usual with the cache download.

I normally download from my bookmarks page, if that is useful to know!

Here's what I have in my personal.ini relating to my bookmark tags and bookmark notes:

extra_valid_entries:bookmarktags,bookmarksummary
bookmarktags_label:My Bookmark Tags 
bookmarksummary_label:My Bookmark Summary 

custom_columns_settings:
 bookmarktags=>#my_tags,a
